Shwe Yamin Oo graduated in computer science at the University of Computer Studies in Yangon in 2007. She has also completed a business management diploma in 2013.In March 2009, she established Shwe Bon Thar computer training center and became the COO and co-founder of its internet center and mart until 2013. In 2014, she founded an accounting tech startup Modern Boss mobile POS for local SMEs. She exited the fintech in 2017 to set up RecyGlo as CEO.In 2019, she was nominated for the Women of the Future awards for Southeast Asia in the Science, Technology and Digital categories. She is also a mentor at Yangon’s Founder Institute.

Andrea Barber is the Spanish co-founder and CEO of RatedPower, which produces software to automate the design of solar power plants. She has worked there since 2017. She is simultaneously co-founder and podcaster at Vostok 6, a Spanish podcast about women in business. Prior to RatedPower, Andrea spent six years working in business development at renewable energy company Solida, based largely in Brazil and Chile, where she had the idea for her later startup. She also spent time in Brazil at the Spanish Chamber of Business and Industry, and at Henkel in San Francisco, working in business intelligence and marketing. She holds a degree in Business Management from Carlos III University of Madrid.

M12 is the venture capital arm of Microsoft, formerly known as Microsoft Ventures, founded in 2016 to invest in Series A rounds and beyond. M12 has invested in more than 70 startups to date and has managed four exits, all of them acquisitions: Comfy, Figure Eight, Bonsai and Frame.  M12 is especially interested in enterprise software and its biggest investment to date was US$114 in Outreach's Series D round. IGF is a crowdfunding platform for impact investing in Asia. It aims to partner with innovative, high-impact enterprises in need of capital to scale their businesses and, as a result, be of value to society and the environment. The fund seeks to mobilize its US$50m in investment capital to deliver affordable healthcare, cut CO2 emissions, help more than 2m people gain access to clean energy and empower women. IGF's investments range in size from US$250,000 to US$5m, and primarily take the form of equity or quasi-equity. All its investments include pre-agreed social or environmental impact targets.

Marieta del Rivero is a successful female entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in leading companies in the world of information and communications technology, mobility and digital services. She graduated from the IESE Business School and has an executive degree in Digital Business Strategy from Columbia University.Currently, the president of the International Women´s Forum Spain, she is also the president of Seeliger and Conde media group. Del Rivero is also an independent non-executive director at Cellnex Telecom, the main European infrastructure operator for wireless communication and Gestamp, an international group that manufactures metal automotive components.

Accelerating Asia focuses on Asian startups for its three-month intensive acceleration program. The Singapore-based investor was founded in 2018 and focuses on diversity investments, with 40% of its portfolio companies being led by women.The firm invests up to S$200,000 in participating pre-Series A startups. All of the program’s startups receive S$50,000–75,000 with an additional investment of up to S$150,000 for top performing companies.To date, the early-stage VC has invested in 25 startups. Recent investments in 2020 include stakes in Bangladeshi mobility platform Shuttle and Indonesian startups KaryaKarsa and MyBrand.

Based in Seattle, Washington, Pivotal Ventures was founded by Melinda Gates in 2015 as a separate, independent organization from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The VC-arm and incubator aim to foster social innovation in the US, focusing on the social progress of women and families. It has supported diversity & inclusion, healthcare and impact startups by providing early-stage funding to enterprises with philanthropic and scalable goals. In October 2020, Pivotal launched a fund for adolescent mental health in partnership with Panorama Global. In September 2020, it also joined Techstars to create a new accelerator program to find innovative eldercare solutions for seniors and their caregivers.

Founded in Connecticut in 2014, Oak has a total of $3.3bn assets under management, the overwhelming majority within healthcare and fintech, and invests at all stages of growth. Approximately one third of its portfolio companies that currently number 55, seek re-investment from the VC. Norfund is the sovereign investment fund of Norway, established by the parliament in 1997 and owned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The company has committed NOK 28.4bn in investments into 170 projects in developing countries as of 2020. Norfund has regional offices in Thailand, Costa Rica, Kenya, Mozambique and Ghana to support its activities in Asia, Africa and Latin America. In Asia, its core investment targets are Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Norfund primarily invests in three key areas: clean energy, agriculture and fintech. The fund has invested in solar power projects and various food companies in India and various African countries. In Asia, Norfund has invested in Amartha, an Indonesian P2P lending fintech company providing loans to women-led microbusinesses. Norfund also invests in other venture funds, such as Southeast Asia-focused Openspace Ventures Fund III, to expand and diversify their portfolio.
