Co-founder and CEO of Attentive
Daniel Araújo first became interested in startups while earning his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management at Católica Porto Business School. He went on to earn his master’s in International Business Development from the American Business School in Paris. After five years working in research and analytics at Google UK and Ireland, Araújo returned to Portugal to launch startup Attentive in 2015. He also co-founded online Portuguese startup and events directory NovaWeb with his brother Pedro while at Google. Araújo is also a mentor at the accelerator Techstars and a Global Shaper for the World Economic Forum's Lisbon Hub.

Nelson Pereira graduated in Graphic and Industrial Design at Aveiro University in 2005 and obtained a master’s in Engineering Design from the University of Porto in 2009. He also spent a year studying Digital Communications and Multimedia at the University of Porto in 2012.He has worked as a designer and brand manager for INEGI Porto for over nine years until 2015. He founded his first enterprise TOP Research in 2012 that later evolved into TOPDOX. Pereira currently works for Dropbox and Xpand IT. He is also co-founder and CEO of ikuTeam, a file-sharing developer for Atlassian Marketplace.

An expert in the field of VR and 3D imaging and display, Hong Xu was in charge of the glass-free 3D project when he worked as R&D director at Chongqing Dromax Photoelectronic Co Ltd in 2013.In 2016, he co-founded DGene to design and build a complete dynamic and static light-field acquisition system, currently the only one of its kind in the world. The system has been applied by Alibaba Group in its God of Creation project that allows consumers to view 3D visuals while browsing through physical shops online from home.

After extensive research in 2017, he founded Mycorena in Gothenburg to produce mycoproteins using fermentation technology.The startup’s first commercial product, Promyc, is now being sold to global food companies as a more sustainable and nutritional alt-protein compared to traditional plant-based proteins.

Featured in Forbes’ 30 under 30 Asia 2016 at age 29, Kevin Aluwi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate Finance, Entrepreneurship and International Relations from the University of Southern California. Before joining Gojek in 2014, Kevin worked at Salem Partners, Merah Putih and Zalora. Kevin also co-founded Setipe.com, an Indonesia-based online dating site. He was born in September 1986.After co-founder Nadiem Makarim left Gojek in 2019, Aluwi became Gojek’s co-CEO with fellow executive Andre Soelistyo. With the merger of Gojek and Tokopedia to form GoTo in 2021, Aluwi remained as Gojek CEO while Soelistyo became CEO of GoTo.

In 2011, Akbaraly joined industrial manufacturing consultancy firm Avencore as a consultant in Paris.The avid photographer and F&B enthusiast also went to various tea-tasting classes at a tea specialist college until 2015. Passionate about gastronomy, he began exploring alt-protein alternatives to address the environmental and ethical challenges of food supply chains.In 2016, he went on an engineering training course for agronomy and agri-food at AgroSup Dijon, the National Institute of Agronomic, Food and Environmental Sciences.A year later, he founded Les Noveaux Affineurs, a startup specializing in plant-based alternatives to cheese. His ambition is to create a new range of French gastronomic vegan cheese products for consumers in France and overseas.Since 2010, Akbaraly is also a volunteer at the Action Contre la Faim, a Paris-based international NGO founded in 1979. The “Action Against Hunger” projects include running awareness campaigns on food security issues in colleges and schools in France and other countries like India and Sudan.

He also works for TherapyChat’s investor, the Spanish VC and startup developer Next Chance Group, on other startups in their portfolio, such as the discount aggregator app Billionhands.Prior to starting TherapyChat, De Sario spent just over three years working in different food delivery entities associated with German VC and startup incubator Rocket Internet. He oversaw the development and launch of Rocket Internet’s food delivery operations in Latin America before these entities were sold to JustEat and Delivery Hero. He was also Head of Logistics at La Nevera Roja in Spain, which was later acquired by Delivery Hero. Before these roles, De Sario spent two years in investment banking and mergers and acquisitions at HSBC in London.De Sario holds three master’s degrees: one in management from ESCP Business School; one in science from City University, London; and one in business administration from the University of Turin, Italy.
