Adtech entrepreneur Italo Gani is set to disrupt Indonesia’s fledgling digital advertising industry as co-founder and CEO of Adskom. He and co-founder Daniel Armanto believe that automated or programmatic ad platforms will boost local budgets for digital media advertisers. Currently the co-founder and chairman of internet marketing agency InboundID, Italo graduated in 1998 with a bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering from the Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) in Indonesia. He has extensive experience in the adtech and digital media as the former CEO of ad network Adstars and as ex-chief commercial officer mSTARS (PT Antar Mitra Prakarsa).

Based in Spain since 2016, Yannick Rault van der Vaart is a Brazilian entrepreneur with diverse work experiences in USA, Latin America and Europe. The co-founder and CEO of Sheetgo is also a board member of Impact Hub Network that runs co-working spaces in Spain and Brazil.In 2006, the graduate from the University of Miami co-founded EsMiHogar to help immigrants finance property purchases back home. In 2007, he helped Spanish company Inmoferrocarril to launch 7,600 social home mixed-use urban development "Esmihogar". In 2008, he co-founded Abramar to build low income, environment-friendly residential buildings and neighborhoods in Brazil.

Leonard Cremer is an engineering graduate from the University of Johannesburg. He worked as an analyst programmer before moving into the finance industry. Then in 2001, he co-founded Integrat in South Africa, a mobile media enabler for Mobile Network Operator. He is now the Group COO at Integrat Pty Ltd. Cremer was also the COO of InTarget from 2001 until 2016. Through business trips, he met up with co-founder Dennis Vilovic who broached the idea of starting a group travel planning platform. In 2017, they co-founded TroopTravel to make global travel planning more efficient for corporates.

Doddy Lukito has over 19 years of experience in both corporate management and technology roles. After earning a master's in Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, USA, he worked at New York based software company TenFold between 1999 and 2003. Doddy later returned to Indonesia, joining software consulting firm infinITechnology and International Investment Communication Network. He also had a brief lecturing stint at Universitas Bina Nusantara. Doddy had previously co-founded Bistip, a peer-to-peer courier service startup, after which he joined pharmaceutical conglomerate Mensa Group through doctors-only social media LinkDokter, which was later the basis for healthcare platform Halodoc. 

In 2012, after graduating from Shanghai University, Zhao joined Huawei as an algorithm scientist, where he was in charge of a number of AI projects. He left Huawei in 2017 and launched Makaron with his college roommate Cai Tianyi. Based on his research at Huawei, Zhao created the neural network ConceptNet, which Makaron uses to quickly and precisely recognize objects in photos. In addition to serving as CTO of Makaron, Zhao also leads the SJTU-Versa Brain Science and AI Lab established by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Makaron's parent company Versa.

Carlos Hernando is a Spanish computer engineer with significant experience as a CTO and as a leader of technology teams in startups.He’s also an active startup mentor through the Tetuan Valley Network. Currently, Hernando is CTO and co-founder of Zensei, a virtual clinic app aimed at preventing and assisting users in their management of respiratory problems.Prior to Zensei, Hernando held CTO roles in startups in the health and travel sectors, such as Doctor24 and Smartvel, noted for his contribution as technical leader, for his customer-centric approach and for the scalability of the technology he develops

Artav is the major distributor for XL Axiata, one of Indonesia’s biggest mobile network operators. Founded in 2011, Artav distributes mobile phone products including prepaid/postpaid cards and vouchers through physical retail and electronic channels. Artav is the majority shareholder of Kioson, with a 53% stake in the O2O fintech. One of Artav’s commissioners is Viperi Limiardi who is also a co-founder of Kioson.

Mari Elka Pangestu is the first female Chinese Indonesian to hold a cabinet position. She was the Minister of Trade from 2004 to 2011 and the Minister of Tourism from 2011 to 2014. She holds a doctorate in Economics from the University of California, USA. Returning to academia at the University of Indonesia, the professor is also part of the Indonesian network of angel investors ANGIN.

Andy Zain is a veteran businessman, executive and angel investor. The Monash University graduate worked in management roles in various Indonesian tech companies and also co-founded companies like Elastisitas and Numedia Global. He is well-known as a founding partner and managing director at VC Kejora Ventures. Andy is also part of ANGIN, the Indonesian network of angel investors that collaborates with Grupara Ventures.

Orza focuses on direct investments in Basque startups looking to expand and internationalize.  It is part of the Elkarkidetza and Geroa pension fund system and typically takes minority stakes, forking out between €1.5 million and €8 million per investment. It actively manages its investee companies while offering them access to its network of local and international contacts.  

Tetuan Valley has built a network of over 500 entrepreneurs through its six-week Madrid-based Startup School program, which was started in 2009 and is in its 25th edition. Partnering with Google, the European Commission, MIT and universities in Spain, Tetuan offers early stage startups guidance on financial and commercial strategy, while providing technology mentors to support them on product development. 

Rentracks is an adtech company from Japan, listed in the “Mothers” (Market of the High-Growth and Emerging Stocks) board of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The company provides consultancy services for web development (for SEO, SEM, and other ad purposes) and Internet-based ads. Rentracks also has a network of affiliate companies in various Asian countries, including China, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

Founded in 2000, Shan Xiangshuang's private equity outfit China Science & Merchants Investment Management Group (CSC) has about US$10 billion under management. It has an extensive network in China and built relationships with more than 1,000 LPs. Dubbed "China's Schwarzman," Shan set up CSC with RMB 600,000. The company went public on China's New Third Board (NEEQ) in 2015, where it raised almost US$2 billion.

Global Brain Corporation is an early stage venture capital fund based in Tokyo, Japan. It was founded in 1998 and has expanded globally, with offices in South Korea’s Seoul, Southeast Asia and Silicon Valley, USA. Leveraging its global network, the company aims to nurture world-class venture companies through investments and hands-on support. It also offers corporate venture capital fund management services and currently manages three such funds.

Serial entrepreneur Cristina Fonseca co-founded VEEP and Bouncely in Lisbon, Portugal, and co-founded Talkdesk in San Francisco, California, US. She left Talkdesk in February 2016 and is currently a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Europe. Fonseca was listed on Forbes’s 30 under 30 in 2016. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Network and Telecommunications from Instituto Superior Tecnico.
