Founded in 1993, WI Harper Group is a venture capital firm investing in early to growth stage companies across the US, Greater China and Asia Pacific. The group has invested in more than 400 companies in the fields of healthcare, biotech, artificial intelligence, robotics, fintech, sustainability and new media. It manages seven venture capital funds with over 100 successful IPO and M&A exits. With three strategic offices in San Francisco, Beijing and Taipei, the group seeks investment opportunities both in the US and Asia.

InvestIdea Ventures is an Indonesia-focused venture capital firm. It invests in early stage web and mobile-based companies, providing funding, advice and networking support. Founded in 2011, InvestIdea has been selective in building its portfolio, having invested in only six companies so far. Among its portfolio companies are language education platform Cakap (formerly Squline), healthcare platform Halodoc (which was co-founded by one of InvestIdea's partners) and online brochure maker IMOOJI.

Established in 2012, Mountain Nazca is a Latin American VC with offices in Mexico, Chile and Colombia. Its operations are centered in México City, Santiago, Buenos Aires, and Bogotá to back startups willing to consolidate their market positions in Latin American countries. The firm also facilitates cross-border investments between Europe, Latin America and the US. It has managed two exits to date, Petsy and Nubelo, and was the lead investor in 35 of its more than 60 investments. Its recent investments include Destacame's US$3 million Series A funding round, and the Series A funding rounds of Albo and Crehana.

Angels Capital is an investment vehicle created by Juan Roig as part of the Marina of Companies network in Valencia. Its mission is to grow startups within the Lanzadera accelerator, as well as external projects that facilitate the creation of a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem in Valencia. Angels Capital has 13 current investment projects, seven of which it is lead investor in and, since 2014, it has invested €15.5 million in capital. Recent investments include a €1 million venture round for cloud-based workflow platform SheetGo, and €360,000 in seed funding for bank aggregation system Afterbanks.

PowerCloud Venture Capital was founded in 2014 by UAV manufacturer PowerVision Group, Innovation Angel Funds and Beijing Jiaxun Feihong Electrical Co., Ltd. It invests mainly in early-stage startups in the robotics, drone, artificial intelligence and big data sectors.

Innovation Nest is an early-stage venture capitalist firm based in Krakow, Poland. Founded in 2010, the VC has invested in more than 50 startups, with a special focus on European B2B SaaS companies. The firm was the lead investor in eight of the startups' funding rounds.The VC usually participates in seed rounds, with the most recent being a US$1-million investment in Poland's fraud detection company Netone and another seed investment in Portuguese facility management platform Infraspeak. The VC has also joined a Series A round for ICT SaaS company CallPage and Series B funding in sensor company Estimote.

Founded in 2011 by Cyril Ebersweiler, partner of the venture capital firm SOSV,  HAX has grown into the world’s first and largest hardware accelerator. It currently operates in Shenzhen and San Francisco. Funded by SOSV, HAX selects teams with hardware prototypes and turns them into functional, sustainable companies. In this way, HAX has brought 65 products to the market in the last three years.

Founded in 2004, Active Venture Partners is based in Barcelona and has two VC funds totaling €74 million. The company has made 40 investments and managed nine exits, including cloud-based reservation platform Restaurants.com, business intelligence tool for hotels ReviewPro and ticket marketplace Ticketbis. The VC was the lead investor in 18 funding rounds to date, with the most recent being a €1-million round for sales and marketing platform Whisbi.

Headquartered in London, Apax Partners was founded in 1969. It is one of the biggest private equity funds in Europe. Apax Partners has offices in New York, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Tel Aviv, Munich and Shanghai. The Shanghai office opened in 2008. Apax Partners currently manages over US$50 billion in assets and invests mainly in the sectors of technology & telecommunications, healthcare and consumer products.

Founded in 2007 by Soichiro Swimmy Minami, BizReach is a Tokyo-based recruitment firm that operates a full service headhunting and talent search platform. Its hallmark feature is an AI-powered software for shortlisting job applicants. Outside of Japan, the company also has a presence in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. BizReach raised funding through a Series A round in 2016. 

Nauta Capital is one of the oldest VC funds in Spain with offices in London, Munich and Barcelona. It focusses its investment on SaaS companies in Europe and the US east-coast, but the firm’s portfolio includes startups specialized in cyber security, retail, HR, marketplace and platform, marketing and social intelligence as well as big data and analytics.The firm usually participates in Series A rounds from €500,000 to €7 million with an average ticket for first investments of between €1 million and €3 million. Nauta Capital occasionally invests in late-seed and Series B rounds.

Proxima Ventures was founded in 2016 in Shanghai. It manages both RMB and US dollar funds, worth around US$150m in total. The firm invests mainly in early-stage startups in the healthcare sector. It has invested in 18 companies and established six innovation centers to incubate medtech startups. 

Suzhou Industrial Park Bioventure Investment Management Limited (Bioventure) was established in September 2013. It has invested in 50 companies and manages RMB2bn worth of total assets. Bioventure invests mostly in the life sciences and bio-pharmaceutical industries, seeking early-stage startups with high growth potential. Bioventure provides post-investment support and services including funding, business operations and management.

Formerly known as hoopCHINA.com, Hupu is a sports news portal founded by Yang Bing and Cheng Hang at the end of 2003. Its business has expanded to include social networking, e-commerce and sports marketing. In June 2019, Hupu raised RMB1.26 billion in its pre-IPO funding round from ByteDance, TikTok's parent company. Hupu has incubated e-marketplace for trending sports gears Shihuo and sneakers resale platform Poizon. The latter became an independent business as a spin-off from Hupu in 2018. Poizon became a unicorn when its valuation exceeded US$1 billion in April 2019 due to a Series A funding round led by DST Global.
