After graduating from Wuhan University with a bachelor’s degree in Remote Sensing in 2005, Gong Huaze moved on to postgraduate study at the Institute of Remote Sensing Applications (IRSA), Chinese Academy of Sciences. He attended Colegio de San Francisco de Paula, the same high school as co-founder Pablo Manuel Vidarte Gordillo who was also named in Forbes 30u30.Graduating in 2018, with a degree in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Rodríguez is also one of the developers of Bioo, an Arkyne Technologies project. A developer with over 10 years of experience, Pedro Araújo received his bachelor’s in Computer Science and his master’s in Informatics from the University of Minho. He worked as a web developer and junior programmer at several companies before joining WeDo Technology as a developer and analyst in 2011. In 2013, Araújo joined Network Locum as senior Python/Django developer, leaving the company in 2015 to start Attentive, where he still serves as CTO. Previously, he had co-founded Portuguese startup and events directory NovaWeb with his brother Daniel. NovaWeb closed in 2015.

Cai received a degree in engineering from Université de Technologie de Troyes in 2011. He joined a SynBio project team to create PHA bioplastics during his postgrad research at university.Li was also the leader of Tsinghua University’s team that won a gold medal at the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) Design Competition. He met Zhang Haoqian at the iGEM giant jamboree in 2010 and they have remained friends ever since.Li and Zhang co-founded Bluepha in 2016, a spin-off from Tsinghua University’s SynBio research project. In 2018, Li was selected for MIT Technology Review’s list of Innovators under 35. In 2019, he was named one of the 40 Chinese business elites under 40.

In 2015, he set up MIWA Technologies in Prague, to realize his smart vending system into a business.
