Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Nicko Batubara had built a strong career in banking. After graduating in 2012 with a bachelor's in Industrial Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia, Nicko joined Citibank as a financial officer and rose to become an Assistant Vice President in 2015. He left the company in 2017 to establish logistics service startup Pakde.

He took part in Amazon China's year-long Junior Leadership Development Program as an Area Manager Trainee at its operations center in Suzhou. In February 2015, An co-founded Sennotech in Shenzhen and has served as Channel Director ever since.

Teguh Budi Wicaksono is one of Agate's original members, having joined in 2009 as a game programmer after finishing his bachelor's at the Bandung Institute of Technology. He continued his education while working, earning his master's degree in Informatics in 2012. In 2013, he transitioned from being a programmer to being Agate's project director. In 2017, he became the company's CTO.

He also has won awards at the Global Management Challenge and the Global Marketing Competition.In 2009, he founded Gadgets4All, an online store supplying novelty gadgets in Portugal. While running his online business, he worked at Eurosider in the steel sector for over eight years in the technical support and procurement and supply chain departments. He exited the online business in 2016.In 2018, Valente joined INESC Technology and Science as a researcher in project management, procurement & supply chains. In May 2019, he left to work as a business manager for seven months at Portuguese startup Veniam. Valente left Veniam to focus full-time as CEO and co-founder of iLoF.

Cheese connoisseur, Lin Fengru, was unable to find milk that allowed her to make high-quality cheese. During her search around dairy farms in Asia, she realized that the poor quality of the milk was due to animal hygiene issues and the use of antibiotics and hormones on cows. The lack of quality dairy milk options inspired her to co-found TurtleTree Labs in January 2019 to create milk using stem cells.Lin graduated in information systems management and marketing in 2011 at Singapore Management University (SMU). In 2011, she joined Collis Asia as an account manager and left in 2014 to work at Salesforce in sales and business development. She joined Google Singapore in 2018 and worked as a territory account manager for Google Cloud Platform until June 2019. In 2020, she completed an MIT course in the science and business of biotechnology.

In December 2017, Neto also started working for Farfetch as a principal innovation specialist and mentor for its accelerator program Dream Assembly.
