Yale University’s Physics and Philosophy graduate Justin Kan is a tech millionaire. The American Korean became famous by broadcasting his life through a webcam on the Justin.tv website that later evolved into the global video game streaming platform Twitch. After an internship working on endless spreadsheets, Yale’s former Men of Branford Calendar model decided to become a technopreneur in 2005. He became a partner of Y Combinator in 2014 but left in 2017 to focus on Justin Kan Enterprises, Titanic’s End and Whale. He recently founded Atrium LTS and became CEO of the law services platform.

Justin Mateen is the co-founder and former CMO of dating app Tinder. The well-known American internet entrepreneur is also an adviser to Home Chef, Rich Uncles, LLC, Jobr, Hutch, Cargomatic and Common. He was named in Forbes 30 under 30 in 2014. His career as an entrepreneur started with Site Canvas and Cover Canvas, after he graduated from USC Marshall School of Business. The early stage investor supports innovative tech and real estate companies.

Part of the Telefonica group, Wayra started its investment in Latin American countries and Spain in 2011. It offers mentoring and acceleration programs across 24 countries, leveraging on a global network of over 350 million customers.Wayra bridges the gap between tech entrepreneurs and networks of governments, corporations and partners where Telefónica has a presence.To date, the firm has invested more than €40 million and built 11 acceleration hubs that provide startup entrepreneurs mentoring and support from corporate leaders, investors and serial entrepreneurs.

Spanish-born Juan Verde Suárez is an internationally-renowned strategist for both the public and private sectors, focusing on sustainable economic development. Based in the US, he was the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Europe and Eurasia at the US Department of Commerce during the Obama presidency. He was also the campaign fundraising manager during the 2020 US elections for President Joe Biden.As an angel investor, Verde’s only disclosed investment is his participation in the €10m Series A funding round of Scoobic Urban Mobility in 2021. Besides joining as a board director of the Spanish e-scooter startup, Verde is also head of the Madrid-based Álamo Solutions, a sustainable business development consulting firm.

Although Depi Rusnandar holds a bachelor’s in Geophysics and Seismology from Indonesia’s Institut Teknologi Bandung, he spent most of his career at Bank Syariah Mandiri (the sharia arm of Bank Mandiri). He joined the bank as an Account Officer in 2002 and became a data analyst for its commercial banking vertical in 2015. Depi obtained a master’s in Syariah banking at Indonesia Banking School in 2015 and eventually left the bank to establish IDCloudHost as a co-founder and commissioner.  He also joined PT BPRS Artha Fisabilillah as a director in 2017.

Founded in 2013 by BYD co-founder Yang Longzhong, Hui Capital focuses on new energy, new materials, electronic information technology and artificial intelligence. It plays a role as the administrator of the National Development and Reform Commission’s emerging industry venture capital fund.

Aida Sutanto graduated with double degrees in Economics and Law from Universitas Trisakti and Universitas Tarumanegara, Indonesia. She worked at Standard Chartered Bank in Dubai, UAE, as an associate director of transactional banking from 2007 to 2010. Aida was also a vice-president at Bank Danamon, Rabobank and CIMB Niaga Bank. He also provided research and technical support for two local universities while studying in Korea.In 2013, he went to study at Vesalius College in Brussels and graduated in business administration in 2017. While living in Brussels, he gained work experience as a data analyst at Management Centre Europe and was a cost consultant at Bridgewater Consulting.In Myanmar, he has worked as a project coordinator for the construction of telecoms towers in 2013. He was also an advisory consultant for accounting firm EY’s financial due diligence projects. In 2018, he began working full-time as the CFO and CMO of RecyGlo, Myanmar’s first waste management and recycling tech company.

Shanghai Zhangjiang Haocheng Venture Capital Co., Ltd. (Zhangjiang Haocheng) was founded in 2007 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of listed real estate developer Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park Development Co., Ltd. It has invested RMB 2.5 billion in high-tech startups.

Charles Xue Biqun (b. 1953), alias Xue Manzi, is a popular Chinese-American billionaire venture capitalist and angel investor with over 10 million followers on Weibo. He studied foreign relations at the University of California, Berkeley. His most famous deal to date is his US$250,000 investment in Unitech in the early 1990s, which later became UTStarcom. The company went public in 2000, reaching a post-IPO value of over US$5 billion. He was also chairman of 8848.com (the earliest Chinese e-commerce network). Xue has invested in many internet startups in China, including PCPOP, Autohome, Xueqiu, CreatyChina, Community001 and 265.com (bought by Google).

Established in 1977, Matrix Partners is an American venture capital firm with offices in San Francisco and Cambridge in the US, as well as in Shanghai, Beijing, Mumbai and Bangalore, and has invested in prominent companies like Apple and FedEx. It participates in all stages of investment and, to date, has invested over US$4 billion and has over US$4 billion currently under management. The company has invested in more than 500 companies and was lead investor in over 150. It has seen more than 100 exits. Recent investments include US$11 million in Brightback Series A and in Klook's Series D.

After earning his MBA at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Zhang worked as an advisor at American Management Systems, an IT consulting firm based in the US. In 2003, he founded Dianping.com, one of China’s biggest online lifestyle services providers, and served as CEO and chairman until 2015. After Dianping.com merged with group-buying giant Meituan in 2015, Zhang became chairman of Meituan-Dianping.

Toro Ventures is a VC fund based in Monterrey, Mexico, with offices in San Francisco. Led by entrepreneurs Elsa Treviño and Tuto Assad, the fund helps tech startups raise seed capital as well as build a network of family offices and business angels interested in investment opportunities in the Latin American tech ecosystem.Toro Ventures also supports big companies looking to innovate by connecting them with startups from relevant industry verticals. In December 2018, it made its biggest investment to date: €2 million in Spain's BEWE. Established in December 2016, the company has invested in nine startups, to date.
