A graduate in ICT engineering and business management from La Salle College, Guillem Batalla Puignou has worked as a professor at his alma mater for two years until 2016.Based in Barcelona, he works as a product manager at Watchity, a platform for video production, editing and online channels distribution. He is also the product manager and UX/UI designer at Sound Market, a mobile marketplace for musicians that he co-founded in 2018.

Albert Marfà is co-founder and CEO of Spanish bioplastics startup Oimo, which he founded in 4Q17 and initially named Edible Plastic to promote the bioplastics he developed as his final degree project in university. The Spanish national holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Industrial and Product Design from London’s Brunel University and is an associate member of Spain’s Institute of Design Engineers. Besides Spanish, he speaks fluent English, French and Catalan.

Sanny Gaddafi has been a technopreneur since graduating in 2004 from Universitas Bina Nusantara, Indonesia. He launched a social media platform FUPEI that offered local language options to Indonesian users. He also launched other social media ventures and eventually closed FUPEI in 2012. A chance meeting with French agronomist Mathieu Le Bras led to the development of an SMS-based information network for farmers and the creation of 8villages. Sanny became the CEO when Mathieu exited and moved to the UK.

Diogo Silva was a high-flyer at the High Institute of Engineering of Lisbon, where he not only won a grant from the Galp Energy group but was also a Microsoft Student Partner. Silva graduated with a master’s in Computer Engineering and pursued a career in IT as a consultant and software developer, before co-founding 360imprimir. Since 2013, he has worked as a head of IT at 360imprimir. In addition to his native Portuguese, Silva also speaks English and French.

Pablo Manuel Vidarte Gordillo is the co-founder and CEO of Arkyne Technologies. Graduating in 2018, the Multimedia Engineering student at Universidad Ramón Llull (La Salle University BCN) in Barcelona was named as one of the most promising young people in Forbes 30u30 Europe in 2017. Vidarte is an energetic serial entrepreneur and has won several awards for his endeavors. Besides co-founding Bioo and Geoo, he also founded AI and video game software Aioo. He was also a speaker at the 2017 South Summit.

Elisabeth Kurniawan has had an established international career in media and fashion, having worked at Saint Laurent and Cartier in both the USA and Indonesia. Elisabeth holds associate degrees in Fashion and Apparel Design from École Supérieure des Arts et techniques de la Mode (ESMOD), France and the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, USA, from which she also earned a bachelor's in Business Management. Prior to establishing The Shonet, she was Editor in Chief of Popbela, a news website under the IDN Media network.

Iñigo Juantegui is a serial entrepreneur with two years of experience in PwC as a senior consultant. He co-founded and led the operations of La Nevera Roja, a food delivery company that was sold to Rocket Internet in 2015. That operation is today considered to be one of the largest and most successful exits in Spain in the past five years, with the company becoming part of Just Eat.Since 2016, he has been CEO and Co-Founder of OnTruck, an innovation-oriented logistics company that optimizes road freight transportation via technology. 

Luis Gelado Crespo graduated in Business Management and has a master's in Real Estate Investment from Comillas Pontifical University (ICAI-ICADE). He worked at Deloitte Consulting for several years before teaming up with ICADE alumnus Manual de la Esperanza to build the Wave app that could track the movements of friends and family. Besides being the CFO and COO at Wave, Gelado is also an associate academy member of International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS). In 2018, he became the CEO and co-founder of GeoDB, a decentralized geolocation data marketplace.

Jean-Luc Treillou is co-founder of TreeFrog Therapeutics, whose proprietory C-Stem technology mass-produces high-quality pluripotent stem cells in a 3D environment. Since January 2019, he has also acted as an advisor and member of the strategic committee of IT security company Eshard. Prior to co-founding TreeFrog, Treillou founded YSOPIA Bioscience in 2011, where he was CEO until he left in 2021, and Chairman of the Board from 2018. Between 2009 and 2013 he held the posts of General Manager and Chairman of the Board at French R&D company Nutrionix.

Bruno Bianchi always wanted to be his own boss. He started a Costa del Sol Spanish jewelry import business in 2004, sourcing from Thailand and India. Then he became the sales director of Miguel Ángel Palomo SA to expand the Spanish olive business internationally. He had also worked as a cook in Ireland and Denmark.The Argentinian speaks English, Spanish, French, Italian and Danish. The COO of Spotahome joined the startup as a co-founder at a later stage when the proptech idea was revived by CEO Artacho.

Founding CTO of US car sharing platform Zipcar, Roy Russell received his bachelor's in Computer Engineering at MIT. Before Zipcar, he was in charge of speech recognition software development at Kurzweil AI and Lernout & Hauspie. He has served as co-founder and CTO of Veniam since 2013. Russell is married to Robin Chase, co-founder and executive chairman of Veniam and co-founder of Zipcar. Starting in 2010, Russell served as CTO of French car sharing startup Buzzcar (since merged with Drivy). Starting in 2007, he was CTO at US consultancy Meadow Networks and rideshare startup GoLoco. He is based in Boston.

Argentinian native Nicolas Manrique is CEO and co-founder at Psquared, Spain’s first flexible workplace management and design company for hybrid workspaces, where he has worked since 2019. He is also a part-time advisor and investor at startup development agency We Are Grit, since its foundation in 2020. Since 2014, he has also been the owner of a marketing agency for SMEs in his native Buenos Aires, called Estudio Cuervo. In 2018, Manrique founded the Barcelona chapter of Argentinian startup co-working agency La Maquinita. Manrique holds a bachelor’s in business administration from Buenos Aires’ Pontifical Catholic University.
