Based on his research at Huawei, Zhao created the neural network ConceptNet, which Makaron uses to quickly and precisely recognize objects in photos. In addition to serving as CTO of Makaron, Zhao also leads the SJTU-Versa Brain Science and AI Lab established by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Makaron's parent company Versa.
