Pedro S. Sarmento is a Portuguese technology entrepreneur and co-founder of FarmCloud, where he was head of strategy from its founding in April 2016 until June 2017. From June 2017 until April 2018, Sarmento was head of product for PriOps, a blockchain API data sharing platform, after which he assumed the CFO role at Kolokium Blockchain Technologies, the firm that commercializes PriOps' product. Sarmento had previously worked in a variety of entrepreneurial roles, including in the aquaculture and used goods sectors. He holds an MBA specializing in Management from Lisbon Lusiada University.

He is now the CIO and head trader at POW Partners that he co-founded in 2016 in Madrid.The cryptocurrency ecosystem has always fascinated the veteran trader. In 2018, Gordillo joined GeoDB as co-founder and COO. He is one of the key figures in the conceptualization of GeoDB, a global decentralized data marketplace based in Madrid.

He is teacher and mentor in Ironhack, a coding bootcamp in web development, UX/UI design and data analytics.He has been involved in the founding and development of Itnig, a startup accelerator based in Barcelona. In this capacity, he has covered the roles of software engineer and CTO and today is one of Itnig's partners.In 2013, he co-founded Quipu, a cloud SaaS tool that automates invoicing and cash management for freelancers, SMEs and accounting firms. He is a pioneer in cognitive computing and used an original system to reproduce human cognitive processes based on symbols, data structures and algorithms. In 1998, he founded Step2U, a mobile interactivity services and software development company, where he worked until he formed Atomian in 2014.

Between 2012 and 2018, he took on various jobs in other companies, including travel aggregator website Pegipegi, the Lazada Group and now-defunct, social travel site Burufly. He also worked as a blogger and graphic designer on a freelance basis.
