Co-founder and Chief Partnership Officer of HarukaEdu
Gerald Ariff, a co-founder of PT Haruka Evolusi Digital Utama since 2013, recently became the company’s Chief Partnership Officer in November 2016. After spending much of his life in the United Kingdom since 1987, the University of London electronics engineer headed home to Jakarta to work as a research associate in 2001. Gerald later earned a doctorate in Strategic Management at the University of Indonesia in 2007, before joining the Universitas Bina Nusantara Business School (Binus) as a program head in 2011. He still lectures at Binus and the London School of Public Relations in Jakarta.

Former journalist Miguel Leite had founded two businesses, Punch and FullFlex Interactive Media, before establishing Tradiio in 2014. The ex-label manager of Universal Music Portugal saw first-hand the challenges faced by emerging artists to make a living from their music. The music platform Tradiio aims to help artists sell their music directly to consumers via paid music downloads.Leite has a master’s in Business Communication from Barcelona's Pompeu Fabra University. He is the founder of blockchain and cryptocurrency research project Coinvision, in addition to co-founding BetProtocol as CMO of the blockchain-powered platform for betting sites.

Alberto López Ganan graduated in Informatics from Esteve Terradas i Illa in 2006 and worked as a programmer until 2011 when he decided to become an entrepreneur. While in Barcelona, López co-founded market research firm Meriendacena Producciones in 2011 and iLike IT Solutions in 2012.It was during this period that he met Yaiza Canosa Ferrío and co-founded GOI Travel SL in 2015. He also started fintech Wadify in 2016 that he continues to run but left GOI in May 2018. He also exited Meriendacena Producciones and iLike IT Solutions in 2017 to join Primos NYC Inc as CTO.

In 2012, after graduating from Shanghai University, Zhao joined Huawei as an algorithm scientist, where he was in charge of a number of AI projects. He left Huawei in 2017 and launched Makaron with his college roommate Cai Tianyi. Based on his research at Huawei, Zhao created the neural network ConceptNet, which Makaron uses to quickly and precisely recognize objects in photos. In addition to serving as CTO of Makaron, Zhao also leads the SJTU-Versa Brain Science and AI Lab established by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Makaron's parent company Versa.

He also conducted research and studied at the University of Porto's Engineering Faculty, where he designed facility management software for its 16 buildings. He went on to earn his master’s in International Business Development from the American Business School in Paris. After five years working in research and analytics at Google UK and Ireland, Araújo returned to Portugal to launch startup Attentive in 2015. He also co-founded online Portuguese startup and events directory NovaWeb with his brother Pedro while at Google. Araújo is also a mentor at the accelerator Techstars and a Global Shaper for the World Economic Forum's Lisbon Hub.
