Founded in 2003, Bezos Expeditions is a family investment office based in Mercer Island in the US. The firm was originally set up to manage the personal investments of Amazon founder, Jeff Bezos.The Bezos fund owns the Washington Post, Blue Origin space projects and the Bezos family foundation. The fund has also backed early tech startups like Twitter, Airbnb and Uber. Today, Bezos Expeditions also supports non-profit projects. In 2013, it helped to recover parts of two engines from the Atlantic Ocean that were later identified as belonging to Apollo 11, the first space mission that successfully landed humans on the moon in 1969. The crew of the ship Seabed Worker spent three weeks at sea pulling up pieces of the Apollo F1 engines.

Najwa Shihab is one of Indonesia's most well-known TV journalists. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in law from Universitas Indonesia, she joined Metro TV as one of their first reporters in 2000. González-Montejano is the Spanish CEO and co-founder of AI-enhanced insurtech SingularCover, where he has worked since 2018. Prior to this, he briefly worked as CMO at the US-based Center for Cross-Cultural Studies, an exchange program, and at Madrid-based automotive marketplace startup Autingo. He previously spent five years as Senior Vice-President for Southern Europe of Affinion, a global leader in loyalty and engagement solutions and a provider of insurance to large multinationals. Before that, he had spent almost two decades working in the US, the UK, Spain and Southern Europe in a range of executive posts in large multinationals, incuding Citigroup and BNP Paribas. He holds an MBA in Finance from Carroll School of Management, Boston College, and a Business Administration degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, as well as a professional qualification as a licensed insurance broker in Spain. González-Montejano volunteers frequently for organizations helping the elderly. 

Grupo Cosimet primarily exports metallic components all over Europe. Originally a family business, the group has diversified investments in renewable energy, healthcare and civil engineering; as well as new and emerging technologies.The company participates in key projects like energy storage company SaltX Technology Holding, that trades on Nasdaq First North. Yang Kaikai graduated in 2013, majoring in English Language and Literature at Shanghai Ocean University.In March 2016, she joined Tencent Incubator to work as a marketing and business development manager. She left Tencent in October 2016 and co-founded Energo Labs as COO, responsible for the strategic and global expansion of the company in Asia. In September 2018, Yang also co-founded Dipole Tech, a blockchain-based renewable energy management and trading platform.Yang is co-chair of the Energy Blockchain Leadership Committee and founded the Asian Cleantech Entrepreneurs Community (ACTEC) to connect entrepreneurs focusing on sustainable development and the environment. In 2019, she was nominated as one of 600 entrepreneurs 30 under 30 by the Forbes China.

Since 2008, after completing a business course at Royal Roads University in Canada, Shaun Frankson has been running his own consultancy Frankson Media in Vancouver.From 2009 to 2014, Frankson worked as VP at Nero Global Tracking, a SaaS platform for mobile vehicles founded by David Katz. In 2013, the duo co-founded Plastic Bank in 2013 to launch a “Social Plastic” movement to reduce ocean plastic and set up recycling centers to create jobs to improve the livelihood of locals in under-served coastal villages. The Canadian co-founder is now the CTO of Plastic Bank. In 2014, he also became an advisor at HeroX, a social network for innovation with over 2m members.

Lugard Road Capital is a New York-based hedge fund under the Luxor Capital Group. The fund invests across market segments and geographies, with several late-stage investments included in its current portfolio of 11 startups.In 2021, Lugard and Luxor led the €450m Series F round for Spanish on-demand delivery app Glovo and also joined the $146m Series J round of Indian foodtech Zomato in 2020. Recent investments include participation in the $43m Series B round of food-sharing app OLIO in September 2021 and the June 2021 $28.5m Series C round of Norwegian ocean and air freight benchmarking and market analytics platform Xeneta. 

Trained in mechanical engineering, Alex Raventos graduated from the MIT-Portugal’s Executive Master’s program focused on sustainable energy systems. In 2017 he joined the prestigious Global Solution Program led by Singularity University at NASA Research Park in Mountain View, California, where talents meet to develop innovative technology and groundbreaking solutions that address the greatest challenges for humanity today.Raventos has gained significant experience as head of economics and project coordinator in companies in the energy sector such as WavEC Offshore Renewables and Bluewater.In 2014 he founded Inn2Grid, consulting companies in renewable energy and focused on ocean energy technologies. Since 2017 he has been CEO and co-founder of X1 Wind, a Barcelona-based startup developing a downwind turbine technology to reduce the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) in offshore wind plants.  

Established in 2009, Shenzhen-based Guoxin Fund was formerly a subsidiary of Tianjin Chongshi Equity Investment Fund Management Co. Ltd. It became an independent entity in 2013, focusing on private fund management. As a state-controlled firm, Guoxin Fund now has over 10 branches and owns or controls shares in more than 20 companies whose business lines include industrial investment, fund management, financial lease, asset management, wealth management and fintech.
