Vinod Kumar originally founded Samrat Wears clothing company in India in 1993 and went on to graduate in mechanical engineering in 1997 at BMS College of Engineering in India.In 2000, he completed a master’s in supply chain management, industrial and manufacturing systems engineering at Ohio University in the US. He started his career at Bell Labs as a product engineer. In 2000, he worked at telco Alcatel-Lucent that later became part of Nokia. In 2008, he held various senior roles and became senior director at tech company Juniper Networks in Silicon Valley. In 2013, he joined his wife Ezhil Subbian to set up String Bio in India. He became a full-time managing director of the company in 2015. In 2019, he became a fellow member at Unreasonable, an investment fund and organization for supporting innovative entrepreneurs to solve social and environmental issues worldwide.

Brij Sahi is CEO and co-founder at Swiss biotech SwissDeCode, which applies DNA testing to food traceability, He has worked there full-time since April 2016. Since 2011, Sahi has also been an adjunct professor at Webster University in Geneva, teaching Business Policy, Strategic Management and Leadership. He is also a Swiss-based private investor in unnamed companies.From 2000–2008, Sahi worked at airline IT and telecommunications company SITA in both Singapore and Switzerland, where he reached the role of VP working in sales and marketing. He previously worked for two-and-a-half years in the area of sales and marketing at GAMECO, an aircraft maintenance and services company in China. Sahi started his corporate career at British Airways, where he spent over 11 years in marketing and business development.  Sahi holds an MBA from Cass Business School in London and a first degree in air transport engineering from City University, London. 

Abdoulaye Maiga is CTO and co-founder at Teliman, Mali’s first on-demand mobility startup and one of francophone Africa’s first, where he has worked since its launch in 2018.  Before that, he was CTO and co-founder at French real estate startup Wemblee where he still works part-time from Mali, initially simultaneously working as a salesforce administrator and developer in chemical company SEPPIC.Maiga previously worked at Rakuten in Tokyo for one year as a research and development VR scientist and also completed a stint at Accenture in Paris as an information system consultant. He also completed short stints in engineering at BCS Group in New Zealand and in business development at EATOPS in the Netherlands. The Malian national obtained two master’s degrees in innovation economics from Universite Paris-Saclay (2017) and in computer science from Keio University in Tokyo (2015), after winning scholarships to study overseas. 

Nitesh Kadyan (also known as Nitesh Kumar) is a computer scientist, robotics engineer, inventor, maker and hacker. He was one of the three co-founders of Graviky Labs, a startup producing ink from captured carbon emissions. He worked at Graviky Labs from 2016–2018, during which he led its hardware development and prototyping. Currently, he works as a senior creative technologist at Lowe's Innovation Labs India.Kadyan holds a degree in computer science from the International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore and did a research stint on AI and robotics at Freie University, Berlin. His background includes expertise in machine learning and embedded systems. Kadyan’s past projects include self-driving model cars, autonomous smart wheelchairs, an augmented reality interface for laser cutting, as well as machines that sketch and draw. He also founded a startup that does 3D printing in nearly any material, from plastic and metallic clay to chocolate, playdoh and fabric, and which was incubated at MIT Global Startup Labs 2014.Kadyan was named one of Foreign Policy magazine’s Top 100 Global Thinkers in 2016. He is a recipient of the Campus Diaries 25 Under 25 award, and is a two-time speaker at TEDx.

Born in 1973, Li graduated from the School of Philosophy at Renmin University of China in 1997. After graduating, he worked as an IT journalist for China Youth Daily, where he interviewed tech giants such as Jack Ma. In early 2003, Li became chief editor of the IT section of web portal Sohu and then joined web portal NetEase as chief editor of its IT section later that year. In 2005, he resigned from NetEase and founded gaming portal Duowan. In 2008, Li founded YY Inc., a live streaming social media platform that went public on Nasdaq in 2012.

Formerly known as hoopCHINA.com, Hupu is a sports news portal founded by Yang Bing and Cheng Hang at the end of 2003. Its business has expanded to include social networking, e-commerce and sports marketing. In June 2019, Hupu raised RMB1.26 billion in its pre-IPO funding round from ByteDance, TikTok's parent company. Hupu has incubated e-marketplace for trending sports gears Shihuo and sneakers resale platform Poizon. The latter became an independent business as a spin-off from Hupu in 2018. Poizon became a unicorn when its valuation exceeded US$1 billion in April 2019 due to a Series A funding round led by DST Global.

One of Huawei’s earliest staff in Eastern Europe/the Balkans (2003-7), opening offices in Hungary and Croatia, Li Qin’s experience of Huawei’s rise in Europe provided fodder for her semi-autobiographical novel, A Thousand Li of Barren Land. A sailing enthusiast. Holds a master’s in Economic Management from Stockholm University (where she studied on a scholarship).

Creative toy designer and photographer, Paulus Hyu Susanto is a busy entrepreneur often found at toy expos around the world. His twitter slogan, “We do not stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing”, captures it all. Besides running a designer toy online shop Kurobokan, Paulus also works as a photographer at AXIOO that was co-founded with David Soong.

A teenage prodigy who was admitted to the University of Science and Technology of China at aged 14, graduating at aged 18, Xu Xueyin built his career at leading tech names before co-founding Meicai. He held IT development jobs at eBay and Baidu, and in July 2010, joined ex-Googler Lee Kai-fu’s incubator Innovation Works as program founder and CTO.

Marketing specialist Wang Xiaofeng was Uber’s former General Manager of Shanghai area and a former marketing general manager at Tencent SOSO. He also spent nine years at P&G China, before joining Google as its first staff in the Shanghai office, where he built Google’s advertising channels in East China. He joined Mobike as co-founder and CEO in late 2015.

Founder and CEO of SEE. Wan Xucheng (b. 1989) previously worked for Tencent, and created products including YingYongBao and Mobile Manager attracting hundreds of millions of users. He owns 13 personal international invention patents. Wan created the world’s leading blockchain technology platform back in 2014 and 2015, and set up SEE in 2015. He was listed in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia in 2017.

Dirman Suharno is a veteran web designer who founded his own web design studio, Harnods, in 2004 where he focused on serving Internet startup clients in Indonesia, Singapore and the USA. In 2014, he joined Suwandi Soh as a co-founder and designer at Sleekr, a web-based HR platform.Dirman holds a bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication from Universitas Tarumanagara, Indonesia.

Founder and CEO of DataHunter. Cheng graduated from Southeast University in 2001. An entrepreneur since 2005, he founded two other startups before DataHunter. With 17 years of experience in the IT industry and in enterprise services, he now works in data visualization.

Asier Vitorica is a Psychology graduate who has over six years of social media management experience.  In 2016, he joined Demium Startups' incubation program and subsequently co-founded Triporate, a startup that applies AI to corporate travel planning. At Triporate, Vitorica oversees strategic integration, manages product and competitor analysis and is responsible for the design and control of project roadmaps.

After graduating from Tsinghua University in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Xia worked as head of R&D of a new energy control system at the GAC Automotive Engineering Institute. In 2014, he co-founded Xpeng Motors.
