Holding an MBA from Lancaster University, UK, Yang co-founded Dana+ with Ren Xinxin and Lv Xin in 2015. He’s also a partner of Lidafeng Investment, and of Ming Capital, an investment management company co-founded by popular Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming.

Bynd Venture Capital is a Portuguese seed/early-stage VC firm that changed its name from Busy Angels in 2019 and opened a new €10M investment fund, with Didimo its first recipient. Busy Angels' more than 30-strong portfolio has passed under Bynd's stewardship. Bynd is led by former senior corporate executives and counts among its shareholders former Cabinet minister Luís Mira Amaral and corporate entities Danone, P&G and Pepsi. Busy Angels was founded in 2010 in Lisbon and concentrates on seed and early-stage B2B and B2C startups doing business in Portugal and/or Spain. DefinedCrowd and Zaask! are among its best known portfolio companies.

Founded in 2017 in Hong Kong, Happiness Capital invests in seed to growth stage companies in the US, Europe, Israel, and China, with a focus on issues affecting global happiness within the areas of citizen trust, food, health, climate change, and reduced inequalities. It hosts its own annual contest, the Super Happiness Challenge , a global open innovation contest to fund individuals and startups with ideas and new products or services that tapped into unmet needs to achieve happiness, with a possible $1m in total investment on offer. The VC currently has 37 startups in its portfolio, around half of which are in foodtech and agtech. Its most recent investments include leading the $4.7m July 2021 seed funding round of NovoNutrients, the US-based biotech producer of alt-protein from fermentation using CO2 and other emissions, and co-leading the $29m February 2021 Series A round of Israeli 3D printed alt-meat startup Redefine Meat.

Cheng Yixiao began his career as a software engineer at HP in Dalian where he met Kuaishou co-founder Yang Yuanxi. Cheng left HP to join Renren as an iPhone client software developer.In 2011, Cheng started a photo-sharing platform GIF Kuaishou and obtained some seed funding. In 2013, he was introduced to a successful entrepreneur Su Hua. They decided to pivot GIF Kuaishou into a video-sharing app, with Cheng as CPO and Su as CEO.Many believe that his earlier experiences of living in Tieling, a county in northeast China, and later in Beijing’s suburb Tiantongyuan, have helped him to identify business opportunities and develop social media tools for the grassroots. He has quite a reputation for his creativity and passion for product development in tech circles. 

Former private equity partner and intellectual property lawyer with over a decade of experience, whose clients included Google, Microsoft, and venture capital funds. A councilor of the Shanghai branch of the All-China Youth Federation, Guo holds an EMBA from PBC School of Finance, Tsinghua University.

Peng Yao has a master’s in Electronic and Information Engineering from Tsinghua University. He was an industry researcher at Taikang Asset, an investment manager at SDIC Fund Management and Vangoo Capital Partners. He has investment experience in diverse industry sectors like healthcare, TMT and advanced equipment manufacturing.

Elevation China Capital (ECC) is an equity investment firm, with offices in Shenzhen, Shanghai and Silicon Valley. Founded in Beijing in June 2010 by managing partner Man Li, the VC focuses on investments in early-stage and high-growth stage tech companies.In August 2019, Shenzen's IGTech became its most recent investment as part of a seed funding worth RMB 10m. The Guangdong company provides intelligent manufacturing solutions to help digitize the production process to improve safety, efficiency and quality using advance data management technology.

Founded in 2019 in Silicon Valley, Concrete Rose is focused on diversity by investing in under-represented founders and companies serving under-represented consumers at the early-stage and across market segments.  It currently has 14 companies in its portfolio and its most recent investments in January 2021 include the $3.5m seed round of inclusive car insurer Loop and in the $17.1m seed round of HR analytics software Syndio 

According to INADEM, Mexico's organization of entrepreneurs, DILA Capital is estimated to hold the largest and most valuable VC deal flows in Mexico. Headquartered in Mexico City and founded in 2004, the firm is dedicated to seed and early-stage investments in Latin American markets. Its latest and third fund saw 800 million pesos (US$41.7 million) invested in regional startups.Banking on a diverse and vast network of partners who are mentors and serial startup entrepreneurs, DILA also supports foreign companies in penetrating and establishing their position in the Mexican market. Marinya Capital is the family office ofJohn B Fairfax from the Australian Fairfax family, who originally established Fairfax Media, a large media company. Marinya largely invests in property and agricultural businesses but has also made at least two investments in tech startups and in an Australian VC. Its most recent disclosed investments were in the $4.7m July 2021 seed funding round of NovoNutrients, the US-based biotech producer of alt-protein using fermentation and CO2 and other emissions,  and in the $55m Series B round of Australia’s premier plant-based brand v2food in 2020.

Capital V is a French rural-based investor that only invests in solutions that facilitate sustained behavioral change and eliminate the consumption of animal products. Its investments range from €10,000 to €1m and currently has 20 startups in its portfolio, mainly plant-based meat makers.In 2020, it announced its participation in Pitch & Plant 2020, the global investment competition by Vevolution for plant-based and animal-free startups, offering £100,000 to finalists. Among its recent investments are participation in the extended 2020 seed round of THIS, a UK-based plant-based meat startup that has raised over £6m to date and, in August 2020, in vegan confectionary manufacturer, Livia’s that has raised over £1m so far.

Fernando Jamie-Fernández is the co-founder of Bipi, a Spanish on-demand car rental app startup. He previously co-founded Colombia Acuanto, which offers alternative loans to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and individuals. Jamie-Fernández is currently on Bipi’s Board of Directors and is a Managing Partner at Avianta Capital in Monterrey, Mexico.    

Founded in 2000 by Hans-Jurgen Schmitz and Mark Tluszcz, Mangrove Capital Partners is a Luxembourg-based fund. It has, as an early investor, backed four unicorns, namely, Skype, Wix, WalkMe and LetGo, as well as a multitude of other successful tech startups. It participates at all stages of investment and has made over 120 investments, including as lead investor in 40 of these. It has seen 15 exits to date, including Skype and, most recently, has invested in the Seed round of Attentive.us and in the Series B of K Health and Series A of Flo Health.
