With offices in UK's capital city London and Herzliya in Israel, Entrée Capital is led by Avi Eyal, a serial entrepreneur behind eight companies across South Africa, Europe and the US. The firm invests in companies at all stages and manages total assets worth $300m globally.

Pieter Jontera Lius joined Quintal as CTO in July 2015, after working as Director of Information Technology at PT MarketPlays Digital Ventura. Prior to returning to Indonesia, he had worked as a software analyst and developer at iConsult in Singapore for almost two years.Pieter graduated in 2012, with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Software Engineering at the University of New South Wales in Australia.

A co-founder and angel investor of HomeRun, Cheng Xiaohua graduated with an Automation major at Changsha Railway University (currently Railway Campus, Central South University) in 1983. From 1984 to 1988, he spent his postgraduate years at Graduate School, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and earned a master’s in Automation. He co-founded Netac with Deng Guoshun in 1999 and became the chairman since September 2010.

During her time as a consultant at McKinsey from 2012 to 2014, Yada Piyajomkwan worked with governments from the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) on financial inclusion. The topic became her focus of study when she enrolled at the Stanford Graduate School of Business’ MBA program as a Fulbright scholar. After earning her MBA, she and fellow Stanford alumnus Anderson Sumarli established online investment advisory startup Ajaib.

Aavishkaar (‘invention’ in Hindi) was founded in 2001 as an early stage investor to help build sustainable enterprises in India’s underserved regions. Its VC portfolio, valued at over US$ 155 million, covers key industry sectors including sanitation, healthcare, agriculture and technology. Its Aavishkaar Frontier Fund was created in 2015 to invest in South and Southeast Asian countries like Indonesia, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Danny Saksono is a software engineer, graduating in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of New South Wales. He had previously obtained a diploma in Information Technology from Singapore’s Nanyang Polytechnic in 2007.Prior to founding Quintal, Danny worked in Singapore for about five years as a senior system analyst at Mobile Xprerience Pte Ltd and as a software engineer at ASG Technologies.

Carlo Terruzzi is an industrial and mechanical engineer who spent several years as an industry consultant and led the technical department of CMC Marine, a company building stabilization systems for the maritime component industry. He is co-founder and head of R&D in Solatom, a startup developing solar concentrators for industrial applications. Terruzzi specialized in Mechatronics at the University of New South Wales, Australia.

BraveGeneration is a Portuguese investment vehicle founded in 2015 for projects arising from the television series Shark Tank Portugal. South African entrepreneur Tim Vieira acts as its principal investor and mentor. The holding currently funds around 30 startups, both in tech and in other sectors. Consumers Trust is the first company it has invested in not to have appeared on the television show. 

FBG Invest is an industry network of investors based in Falkenberg, south Sweden. The network focuses on VC investments in local enterprises. Besides Mycorena in Gothenburg, FBG’s other investment is Consumiq that runs a Swedish grocery shopping app matlistan.

Henry Fausta graduated in 2012, with a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from the University of New South Wales in Australia. Prior to becoming a co-founder and COO at Quintal in 2015, he worked in Jakarta as a research and development engineer at Qerja and a solution developer at Intersoft Solutions. He was also a software engineer at Qronospire and at EmpireOne group in Australia. Other IT work experiences include web front-end and application development in Australia.

Kim Jung is a South Korean businessman and the man behind Nexon, Korea's largest gaming company. He is Chairman and CEO of NXC Corporation, Nexon’s holding company. NXC diversified into cryptocurrency and holds 83% of Korbit, a Seoul-based exchange.In 2016, Kim was accused of bribery, having favoured a prosecutor who was his university friend. Although he was found not guilty due to lack of evidence, Kim resigned as a director of Nexon.Kim is also partner at Collaborative Fund, a New York-based VC firm.

The Mirae Asset Financial Group started in 1997 with Mirae Asset Global Investment and Mirae Asset Capital. The group's business interests focus on asset and wealth management, investments, and insurance. It has also invested in a range of companies, from logistics firm Shadowfax to AmazeVR. In 2018, it established a joint venture with Naver Corporation, one of South Korea's leading tech companies, and set up the Asia Growth Fund with $940m committed to VC investing in the region. The joint venture has backed Southeast Asian ride-hailing giant Grab, Indonesian e-commerce platform Bukalapak, and Singapore-based credit scoring firm FinAccel.

BASF Venture Capital is the investment arm of the BASF Group. Founded in 2001, the VC also has offices in Ludwigshafen, San Francisco, Boston, Austin, Shanghai, Sao Paulo, Mumbai and Tel Aviv.Global investments include stakes in young, fast-growing companies involved in agritech, chemistry, new materials, sustainability, digitalization and disruptive business models. The firm also holds shares in technology funds that target enterprises in Asia, North America and South America.

Raul Villalba Van Dijk is currently an energy management consultant at KPMG Madrid, having spent time in the consulting industry in Spain, South Africa and the UK. Since 2016, he has been CFO and a member of the founding team of Solatom, a startup developing solar concentrators for industrial applications. He graduated with a masters in science specializing in thermal energy systems for solar plants. He also holds an MBA from the London Business School.
