Tetuan Valley has built a network of over 500 entrepreneurs through its six-week Madrid-based Startup School program, which was started in 2009 and is in its 25th edition. Partnering with Google, the European Commission, MIT and universities in Spain, Tetuan offers early stage startups guidance on financial and commercial strategy, while providing technology mentors to support them on product development.

After graduating from Institut Teknologi Bandung with a degree in business, Andi Taufan started work on palm oil projects for IBM, traveling around Indonesia and meeting local farmers who were struggling to get small loans for their businesses.He left IBM and started Lembaga Keuangan Mikro (Micro-Finance Institution) to help rural business owners in 2010. Armed with a master’s in Public Administration from Harvard University in 2016, Andi managed to secure VC funds and transformed the original microloans co-operative into PT Amartha Micro Fintek, a P2P micro-lending platform.

Anderson Sumarli is the CEO and co-founder of Ajaib, an online investment advisory startup. Anderson worked at JP Morgan and IBM before joining the Boston Consulting Group. He holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, as well as a bachelor’s in finance from Cornell University. He met Ajaib's two other co-founders during his time at these institutions.

He graduated in 2007 with a bachelor’s in Computer Science and Business Administration from Simon Fraser University in Canada.He then worked as a business analyst at HSBC Canada for almost a year before moving on to join IBM Canada as an IT specialist. After three years working on web-based commerce projects, Mikhael returned to Indonesia to join PT Phase Solusindo and Tiket.com. He left PT Phase to become Tiket.com’s Chief Communication Officer.
