S2 Capital was founded by Y Combinator alums Sohail Prasad, Samvit Ramadurgam and Ritik Malhotra. The founders of S2 Capital have mostly invested in the US, leveraging their relationships with startups there, both before and during their time at Y Combinator. Payfazz is a notable exception in S2 Capital's portfolio, being the first startup from Indonesia to have participated in the Y Combinator program.

Bright Pixel is a Portuguese company of angel investors, established in 2016, owned by the investment division of one of Portugal's largest companies, retailer Sonae Group.To date, it has invested in six companies at the early-stage. Its most recent investments include in the €2m seed round of US security tech Fyde and in the €550,000 seed round of Portuguese online security tech Probely.

Tongfang Holch conducts direct investment, angel investment, PE investment and NEEQ investment with billions of RMB under management. It is one of the fastest-growing PE investment firms in China.

China- and Asia Pacific-focused SAIF Partners is one of China's largest homegrown PE firms, managing about $4 billion in capital. Led by former World Bank economist Andy Yan, it has invested in more than 200 companies. Taking a value-based investment approach, it says: "We generally make individual equity investments of between $10 million and $100 million, in one or more rounds of financing, and generally seek to obtain a significant minority equity ownership position in the range of 15% to 40% of a portfolio company." SAIF also has a strong presence in India.

DFS168.com is a B2C e-commerce platform for agricultural materials. DFS168.com sells to major agricultural provinces in China such as Jiangxi, Heibei and Anhui. Upon noticing Chinese farmers' lack of agricultural expertise and technical knowledge, the team at DFS168.com came up with the idea of building an agricultural education platform. However, the company decided not to launch the business itself, worried farmers might misinterpret the platform as simply a means to sell more products. Instead, founder Yan Zitong co-founded Tiantian Xuenong, an independent company, with Zhao Guang, and DFS168.com assumed the role of angel investor.

Grupo Cosimet primarily exports metallic components all over Europe. Originally a family business, the group has diversified investments in renewable energy, healthcare and civil engineering; as well as new and emerging technologies.The company participates in key projects like energy storage company SaltX Technology Holding, that trades on Nasdaq First North. Its subsidiary Suncool manufactures solar cooling panels in China. Another investment is Wisekey, a Swiss-based company that develops web-security solutions. The company has also invested in ChainGo, a Spanish blockchain platform that builds logistics solutions for ocean freight. 

One of the world’s oldest venture capital firms, Greylock Partner was founded in 1965 in Cambridge, Massachusetts by Bill Elfers and Dan Gregory, and later Charlie Waite. It has offices in Silicon Valley, San Francisco and Wellesley and over US$3.5 billion under management. Focused on early-stage startups, Greylock has backed more than 120 profitable M&As and more than 170 IPOs, including Facebook, LinkedIn and Workday.

Novabase Capital is a Portuguese VC originally established in 1993 to invest in domestic technology projects. The firm has also invested in local tech startups since 2003. To date, it has invested in 21 companies, including 10 exits. It has invested €11m in four funds with a total investment value of over €27m. Recent investments include HypeLabs' US$3m seed round and the €1.5m seed round of IoT platform for industry Glartek. 

Deutsche Telekom is Germany's largest telecoms company, with operations in over 50 countries and more than 178 million mobile customers. It is a major investor in tech companies and has managed more than 20 investments and seven acquisitions to date. Its most well-known acquisition is teleco operator T-Mobile for €828m in 2014. Recent investments include HypeLabs' US$3m seed round and the €6m Series A round of automated IoT platform Axonise.

Founded in 1843, Connecticut-based Stanley Black & Decker, is one of the oldest US manufacturing companies. It has acquired tons of organizations in recent decades and invests in a very selected number of startups. Its most recent disclosed tech startup investments via its VC arm Stanley Ventures were in the 2021 $1.8m seed round of Spain’s Triditive, and in the 2019 undisclosed investment round of Argentinian field operations software Iguana Fix.

She Wei graduated from Tsinghua University with a master's in Computer Science in 2006 and has since worked for IBM, CDL and HP Labs China. He joined Miaozhen Systems at the end of 2011, where he developed a series of B2B products for brands and advertisers. She joined MININGLAMP Technology as co-founder and CTO in 2013; led development of DataInsight (MININGLAMP's data mining platform); and headed the algorithm team, which served clients in the sectors of finance, homeland security and manufacture. A serial entrepreneur, he co-founded game media platform Ye Zizhu in 2003.

A serial entrepreneur, Lu is the founder of car rental company CAR Inc. He is also chairman and founding CEO of car services provider UCAR. In 2003, he founded Beijing Huaxia United Technology Co Ltd, a company that now controls around 67% of China Telecom’s VOIP business in Beijing. In 1995, Lu founded DITEL Technology, a trading company for telecom equipment and supplier of system integration services. He received his bachelor's degree in Industrial Electric Automation from the University of Science & Technology of Beijing and his EMBA from Peking University.

GF Qianhe is an equity investment company launched by GF Securities in May 2012. Incorporated as Guangfa Qianhe Investments Co Ltd, with a registered capital of RMB 500m, the company was one of the earliest alternative investment companies to gain approval from the Securities Commission of China. As of late 2018, GF Qianhe has invested in 86 equity-related projects, among which four have gone public. By the end of 2014, its total investment value reached almost RMB 2bn and revenues of over RMB 340m.

Ocean Link is a private equity firm that mainly invests in consumer goods, tourism and TMT sectors in China. It currently manages two USD funds and one RMB fund. It has offices in Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong. The limited partners include Chinese and global corporates, financial institutions, sovereign wealth funds and family offices. China’s largest online travel agency Trip.com and international private equity firm General Atlantic are strategic partners.In April 2020, Ocean Link proposed to acquire all of the outstanding ordinary shares of the Chinese online classifieds marketplace 58.com. The NYSE-listed company is in the process of evaluating the proposal. 

Sandeep Aggarwal is a serial entrepreneur with an MBA from Washington University at St. Louis, USA. He worked at Microsoft and Citibank before returning to India in 2011 to establish ShopClues, India’s first online managed marketplace and the country’s fifth unicorn in the consumer internet sector . In 2014, he also founded an automotive e-commerce site Droom, where he currently serves as CEO. He recently became an angel investor and plans to invest US$3 million in 2017.
