Founded in Sydney in 2004, Artesian Capital Management (Australia) Pty Ltd is a global alternative investment management firm specialized in public and private debt, venture capital and impact investment strategies. The VC was a spin-off from ANZ Banking Group’s capital markets business, backed by ANZ Private Equity. Artesian’s founding partners Jeremy Colless, Matthew Clunies-Ross and John McCartney bought ANZ’s stake in 2005.Today, Artesian has international offices in New York, London, Singapore, Jakarta and Shanghai. Its China VC Fund was launched in 2017 and the firm also has plans for a Southeast Asia VC Fund. The alternative investment firm currently manages multiple funds including Australian VC Fund 2, High Impact Green Debt Fund, GrainInnovate and Women Economic Empowerment Fund.

Suzhou Wujiang Orient State-Owned Capital Investment Management is a state-owned company established in 2001 in Suzhou with the mission to facilitate industrial development in Wujiang District, Suzhou. It currently manages assets worth over RMB 20bn. It’s also the limited partner of some renowned VC funds including Source Code Capital, Legend Capital, Kinzon Capital and Oriza Holdings. As of May 2021, three of its portfolio companies and 27 of its sub-funds had gone public.While making investments in companies, the investor is more focused on attracting investment firms in Wujiang to offer support to them. Beyond that, it’s also committed to supporting small-sized early-stage startups, so as to bring new blood for industrial development in the region. 

Climate-KIC is an initiative supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), whose focus is to create and support a community of entrepreneurs and mentors that jointly develop and produce innovative ideas facilitating the transition to a zero-carbon economy. Climate-KIC has launched various initiatives and acceleration programs across Europe targeted at growing startups that are tackling climate change, providing them with structure, assistance, mentoring and seed funding to develop low-carbon products and services. 

Italy's first impact investment fund is focused mainly on assisting Italian startups. Its investment size ranges from €200,000 to €6m. Oltre Venture was founded in 2006 as Oltre Venture I by Luciano Balbo and Lorenzo Allevi, both pioneers in Europe's impact investing ecosystem and each with extensive experience in investment banking, corporate finance and VC firms.In 2016, the company launched a second investment vehicle (Oltre Venture II) which currently has a portfolio of more than 22 startups.

Picart Petcare is the family business of Albert Icart Martori, co-founder of Kibus Petcare. It has been in operation since 1953 and is based in Barcelona. Not usually an investor in tech or startups, it has invested solely in healthy pet food preparation hardware startup Kibus with a pre-seed investment of €120,000 in 1Q 2019. Picart distributes pet food and animal feed in more than 25 European and Middle Eastern markets and is set to be a key distributor of Kibus' hardware.

Archipelago Next is an investor based in Spain’s Canary Islands and owned by prominent local companies. It has a non-sectorial focus on startups based in the archipelago and in Africa and is the Canary Islands’ only venture builder. It currently has 20 startups in its portfolio. Its most recent investments were €520,000 in a seed funding round in 2021 of Valencian accessibility hardware and app for the deaf, Visualfy and €260,000 in the 2021 seed round of AI-powered crop prediction agtech RawData. 

Amand Ventures is a venture capital firm established in 2016. Based in Singapore, it has backed the payments startup Wallex and Indonesian online jewelry business Orori. 

Mountain Partners is a global company builder that has managed more than 90 investments in IT-based startups. Mountain Partners supports companies from incubation to growth stages to go global.

Founder by Vipshop (a Chinese e-commerce company specializing in online discount sales) founding shareholder Wu Jiang in 2015, Daosheng Capital prioritizes technology startups in its investments.

Money Forward is a Japanese fintech startup that provides software for corporate accounting and personal finance management. The company has been listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange since late 2017.

Hippeau was the CEO of Huffington Post and ex-managing partner of Softbank Capital that invested in Huffington Post.Its 400+ startups also get support for business growth by tapping into tech ecosystems like New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Its 80+ exits include Giphy (GIF) that was acquired by Facebook and home-fitness studio Mirror acquired by Lululemon. However, the IPO by portfolio company Bed-in-a-box online retailer Casper was below market expectations. The loss-making e-commerce unicorn went public at $12 a share in February 2020, closing at $13.50 on its first day out, for a market capitalization of less than half the $1.1 billion Casper was valued at in a private funding round in 2019.

Founded under a different name in 2002, the company became UCAR in 2016. A comprehensive car services provider, it now operates in nearly 300 cities across China. It has served around 60 million Chinese users and manages a total of 400,000 vehicles. UCAR has four business units: car rental service provider zuche.com, chauffeured car service provider 10101111.com, auto e-commerce platform maimaiche.com and automotive financing service platform carbank.cn. It invests in automotive businesses and startups.

Javier Llorente Moral has extensive experience in managing and investing in internet startups and currently manages an investment portfolio of over 30 startups through his own investment company, Valderaduey Investments. A graduate in clinical psychology from the University of Barcelona, and in management from IESE Business School, he was a founding partner of Grupo Intercom in 1995.Since 1999, he has been a prolific investor in some of Spain's most successful internet businesses after his 10-year investment in Infojobs, until its acquisition by Schibsted. His other exited companies include Softonic and Bodas.net. He is also an investor in other startups including Emagister, Verticales Intercom, Buy Yourself, Red Points, Mailtrack and Camaloon, as well as in the startup investment platform Startupxplore.
