Founded in Beijing in 2010 with a registered capital of RMB 12m, Hongdao Capital manages six RMB funds and one US dollar fund, totaling RMB 2bn. It has invested in over 80 companies, including unicorns Ofo, WeDoctor, Wecash, and Renrendai.com. The sectors it has invested in include, internet-based finance, corporate services, healthcare and AI. Its investment size ranges from RMB 500,000 to RMB 50m.

Renhe Group was founded in Jiangxi Province by Yang Wenlong in 2001. The group, including its flagship listed Renhe Pharmacy, earned total sales revenue of RMB 11.23bn in 2018 with a year-on-year profit growth of 25%. The group comprises 20 subsidiaries dealing in cosmetics, household chemicals, pharmaceutical, medical supplies and equipment.

Forebright Capital originates from the PE investment team established in 2001 under the state-owned China Everbright which is listed in Hong Kong. Everbright was spun off in May 2014 as an independent company. With money raised from institutional investors and family offices at home and abroad, Forebright Capital currently manages four US-dollar funds. It mainly invests in sectors of clean energy, healthcare and fintech.

Simon Hombersley is the CEO and co-founder of Britain’s Xampla, producer of plant-based biodegradable plastics made from protein, where he has worked full-time since 2018. Prior to Xampla, Hombersley worked in various UK-based engineering roles that included almost three years at Oxford Flow, an Oxford University spin-off, reducing water leakage and improving industrial efficiency.Earlier, between 2012 and 2015, he worked in the industrial entrepreneurial agency Puntios, which he founded. From 2004–2012 he was Chairman and founder at TwentyNinety, developers of a wireless monitoring system for photovoltaics. From 2004 to March 2021, he was the founder and non-executive director at Lontra, an engineering firm developing and commercializing energy-saving industrial compressors.   Hombersley began his professional life as a public affairs consultant providing advice on regulatory and political affairs mainly to water companies. 

Founded in 2010, East Ventures is a venture capital firm with offices in Indonesia, Japan and USA. Today, the company has invested in over 150 companies across Asia, mainly Southeast Asia and Japan, and the USA. Its ticket size ranges from US$100,000 to US$500,000.

Korea Investment Partners is a venture capital fund established in 1986. It primarily invests in companies from Korea, China and the United States. It has invested a total of more than US$1.7 billion in over 500 companies across various sectors, from social media to medtech.

Indonesian Paradise Property is a group of property developers and management companies focusing on lifestyle destinations and hospitality properties in prime locations in Indonesia. Its portfolio includes Jakarta's Plaza Indonesia mall and Grand Hyatt Jakarta, as well as the Sahid Kuta resort in Bali.

Established in 2016, Roaming Capital invests mainly in early-stage startups in the sectors of mobile internet, new media, sharing economy, AR/VR, artificial intelligence, etc. The equity funds and digital assets under its management are worth over RMB 2bn. 

Carlos Pierre is the co-founder and CEO of Spanish online room rental platform Badi that was established in 2015 and secured Series B investment of US$30m in 2019. Pierre's first investment is the seed funding of household bill manager Polaroo in 2019.

Sequis Life is an insurance company in Indonesia. Originally named PT Universal Life Indonesia, it was established in 1984 as part of the Gunung Sewu conglomerate group of companies. As of 2018, it manages over IDR 14.8t in assets and more than 400,000 policies.

Among the first private equity firms to invest in Asia, TPG Capital Asia is the regional investment arm of US private equity firm TPG Capital. With offices in Beijing, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Mumbai and Singapore, it currently has about $9.9bn in assets under management.

Russell J. Howard has been co-founder and chairman of the board at NovoNutrients, a San Francisco biotech manufacturer of alt-protein produced using fermentation and CO2, and the research company Oakbio, since the latter’s foundation in 2009.  During this period, for a year,  Howard also worked as head of commercial strategy at Genome.One, a genetics startup. Howard is also on the board of executives of two Australian pharma companies, Immutep and NeuClone. Previously, between 1997 and 2009, he was CEO at California-based Maxygen, dedicated to the commercialization of molecular breeding and gene shuffling in protein. The year before that, Howard was president and scientific director at global pharma giant GSK in Santa Clara, and between 1994 and 1996, he held the same position at AFFYMAX Research Institute, working on new drugs research. Howard also held long-term research positions, heading up the laboratory at Palo Alto’s DNAX Research Institute of Molecular & Cellular Biology for six years, and earlier spent nine years at Bethesda’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) working on identifying new malarial pathogens. The doctor of biochemistry from the University of Melbourne has over 140 peer-reviewed publications. Following his studies, Howard spent three years undertaking postdoctoral research at Australia’s WEHI (formerly the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research). 

Founded in 2015, CM International Financial Leasing is a subsidiary of CMIG Leasing, with RMB 40 billion in assets.
