Stanley Ventures / Stanley Black & Decker
Founded in 1843, Connecticut-based Stanley Black & Decker, is one of the oldest US manufacturing companies. It has acquired tons of organizations in recent decades and invests in a very selected number of startups. Its most recent disclosed tech startup investments via its VC arm Stanley Ventures were in the 2021 $1.8m seed round of Spain’s Triditive, and in the 2019 undisclosed investment round of Argentinian field operations software Iguana Fix.

Recent investments include US anti-aging medtech Elevio’s $15m funding in November 2020 and the $4.3m seed round in August 2020 for US fintech for teens Copper Banking.

Taihecap's long-term clients include the social commerce platform Pinduoduo, China’s largest used-car transaction platform Guazi.com, and the online K12 education platform Zuoyebang. Since 2019, Taihecap has started its overseas expansion into markets such as Southeast Asia and India.

Stanford-educated Chau joined Google in 2000 as its 103rd staff, and was the first engineer on AdWords, RPC, Google Talk, among other projects, with expertise in Android development. He left Google in 2008 and became an angel investor. Among the companies in his portfolio, most failed except Lightinthebox.com, which went public on NYSE in 2013. Chau holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Hong Kong University of Science & Technology; and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

In December 2017, Neto also started working for Farfetch as a principal innovation specialist and mentor for its accelerator program Dream Assembly.
