Pedro Gaspar received his Licentiate degree in Computer Engineering from the Higher Institute of Engineering of Lisbon in 2010, after which he joined Portuguese IT services firm Safira as a software engineer. Peter Windischhofer graduated with a management degree in 2012 at Vienna University of Economics and Business, including a stint at the University of Hong Kong. Student internships included various roles at McKinsey & Company, Perella Weinberg Partners, Realtreuhand and Raiffeisen Bank.In 2012, he joined CUDOS Group and worked for over a year as a business analyst in Vienna. In 2013, he met Refurbed co-founder Kilian Kaminski during a master’s program run by Hult International Business School. Both men worked in China while studying international business. Windischhofer spent six months running an online “TripAdvisor” review platform for Chinese language schools in Shanghai.In October 2014, Windischhofer joined McKinsey & Company as a management consultant working on digital marketing and product development projects for marketplaces and e-commerce companies in Europe.In 2017, he left McKinsey to co-found Refurbed with Kaminski to build an Amazon-style marketplace for refurbished electronic goods. The idea was inspired by a personal experience when Windischhofer bought a used smartphone after seeing a classified ad. The phone stopped working after two weeks. The incident prompted him to create an e-commerce platform specializing in selling quality refurbished e-products with carbon-neutral credentials like planting a tree for every sales transaction.

In 2006, he developed and operated web games like XYZ and Perfect 3 Kingdoms. In 2008, he became VP of Kylin Games, responsible for operations of games like Genghis Khan OL. He became president of Kylin Games in 2010. In 2011, Xing founded Beijing Locojoy Technology to develop and operate iOS system-based games and web games. His company operated the game, I’m MT Online in 2012, which became a big hit in the game industry. His I’m MT series games had generated a total of $800m in revenue. In 2018, he founded Beijing Code View Technology, which launched Reworld in 2019.He also published several fiction novels at a young age.

With a PhD in molecular biology from NUS, Bao Shengjie, CEO and co-founder of Singrow, is a plant physiology expert who has been focusing his research for more than six years on expediting growth and improving yields. He grew up in Ningbo, a coastal city of China’s eastern Zhejiang Province. In 2011, he graduated from esteemed Zhejiang University with a bachelor's degree. He also studied bioinformatics at North Carolina State University, followed by studies at NUS. Since 2017, he has been an NUS research fellow. Strawberry has his favourite fruit since childhood. After moving to Singapore, he found that strawberries from the local supermarket were nothing close to those he had been eating for years. That sparked his study into the problem of Singapore’s local strawberry market, which in turn caused him to explore the urban farming industry with his plant physiology and molecular biology knowledge. Besides founding Singrow, he is the breeder of the company’s signature White Crystal Strawberry and invented the Fast Cultivation Method.

Prior to this, Rando gained significant experience working in the field of genomics. He spent three years prior to SwissDeCode’s foundation trialing his DNA food testing technology in his startup BeerDeCoded and assisted in the launch of a compact DNA laboratory at Bento Bio in London. He previously spent almost three years at the University of Geneva in research, co-inventing a technology for ink to change color in response to a specific DNA sequence. His earlier position at the University of Lausanne as a post-doctoral fellow in genomics saw him lead a nine-man team for three and a half years, discovering the hormone that prepares newborns to lactate. Rando’s first post was at Trangenic Operative Products, leading animal research there. Italian-born Rando holds a PhD in biotechnology and pharmacology from the University of Milan as well as a qualification in data science.
