Co-founder and CEO of Attentive
Daniel Araújo first became interested in startups while earning his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management at Católica Porto Business School. He went on to earn his master’s in International Business Development from the American Business School in Paris. After five years working in research and analytics at Google UK and Ireland, Araújo returned to Portugal to launch startup Attentive in 2015. He also co-founded online Portuguese startup and events directory NovaWeb with his brother Pedro while at Google. Araújo is also a mentor at the accelerator Techstars and a Global Shaper for the World Economic Forum's Lisbon Hub.

A developer with over 10 years of experience, Pedro Araújo received his bachelor’s in Computer Science and his master’s in Informatics from the University of Minho. He worked as a web developer and junior programmer at several companies before joining WeDo Technology as a developer and analyst in 2011. In 2013, Araújo joined Network Locum as senior Python/Django developer, leaving the company in 2015 to start Attentive, where he still serves as CTO. Previously, he had co-founded Portuguese startup and events directory NovaWeb with his brother Daniel. NovaWeb closed in 2015.

University of Minho graduate Luís Braga holds a bachelor’s in Computer Science and Mathematics. After graduating, he worked at BOLD International, WeDo Technologies, Cloud9 and BetaBranch before co-founding Attentive, a sales performance startup for CRMs, where he continues to work as COO. Braga has 10 years of experience in natural language processing and Python.

Cornell and Stanford-educated Fulbright scholar João Barros is a professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Porto and teaches in the MBA program at the Porto Business School. He has also held visiting appointments at MIT and Carnegie Mellon. He has co-founded two startups, Streambolico and Veniam, of which he is also CEO. Between 2009 and 2012, Barros served as National Director of the Carnegie Mellon Portugal Program, a five-year international partnership funded by the Portuguese Foundation of Science and Technology. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from Munich's Technical University.

He had previously studied Audiovisual and Multimedia Technologies at the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon.Ortega worked for six years at TAP Air Portugal until 2014 when he co-founded Line Health as CEO. He was the CEO. The healthtech was dissolved in 2018 and he eventually moved to the US to work for WW (formerly Weight Watchers) as a product manager. Currently based in San Francisco, he is working as a product manager at Google.

In 2006, he co-founded online travel site Tuniu with Yu Dunde, a friend from university, and worked as Tuniu's COO. In 2014, Tuniu was listed on NASDAQ and three years later was ranked first in market share among similar sites in China. In the third quarter of 2017, Yan resigned from Tuniu after the company announced that it had made a profit for the first time. In November 2017, he co-founded Blackfish Technology and became its CEO.

He started his research on virtual experiments in 1998. He founded Rainier Science and Technology in 2007.

After graduating from Universitas Dian Nuswantoro with a degree in Computer Science, Maulana Bayu Samudra worked as a web designer for Seven Media Technology from 2015 to 2018. Together with former colleague Fadhil Nur Mahardi and food entrepreneur Kaesang Pangarep, he established Indonesian home chef meal service Madhang in late 2017, serving as its first CEO. Maulana later took on the COO role in January 2019.

Wang Anquan joined the Alibaba Group in 2006. He was the technology director at Ali Financial, director of Taobao Loan Division and assistant to the MD of Ali Financial.In 2013, Wang and a colleague at Ali jointly developed the MVP of Webull to provide market intelligence. He then joined HengFeng Bank in 2014 as the president of the Department of Online Financial Asset Transaction. Wang joined Xiaomi in 2015 as the general manager of Xiaomi Finance. In 2016, he founded Fumi Technology with Webull as its main platform. Xiaomi is one of Fumi's early investors.
