IDC Ventures is the VC arm of Grupo IDC, a Latin American investment bank. The fund was created in 2019 by corporate executives, entrepreneurs and investors from Latin America, focused on pre-Series A to Series B rounds. Headquartered in Madrid with offices in Copenhagen and Guatemala, the company acts as an international VC working with tech companies to accelerate expansion across LatAm markets. Sectors of interest include fintech, on-demand transportation, digital tools for small and large retailers, and commercialization platforms for robotics.

An experienced product manager, Mateo del Río graduated with a degree in Economics and International Business Management from the LUISS Business School in Rome. He also holds two master's degrees, one in Philosophy and another in Marketing Automation.Del Río worked for four years at Ticketbis (now owned by eBay) in multiple capacities, as product manager and in the financial departments for the APAC and LATAM regions.Since 2018, he's been a shareholder and CPO at Reclamador.es, a web platform that manages and automates consumer claims.

Blanca Rodríguez Montero won the MIT LatAm Startup competition in 2015 while completing an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at MIT's Sloan School of Management. She also worked in Boston for VCs like Rough Draft Ventures and Founder Collective while at MIT. In 2011, she started her first job at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) after graduating with in Law and Business Administration in Spain. In 2014, she joined BCG consultant Victor Sánchez Rodríguez to co-found edtech Smile and Learn. In June 2018, she moved to Paris as co-founder of Next Station, an online recruiting platform for international talent.

The Venture City is a tech accelerator with international growth hubs. The VC was established in 2017 by former Facebook executive Laura González-Estéfani with co-founder Clara Bullrich from Guggenheim Partners Latin America/LJ Partnership.The ecosystem accelerator is data-driven and has diverse interests in AI, healthtech, cybersecurity, SaaS, marketplaces, fintech, blockchain and VR. It also provides the full A-Z package of expertise to support startups that have the potential to scale internationally, especially in LatAm, Asia and Africa.
