Co-founder of Therapixal
Olivier Clatz is the French co-founder of AI medical diagnosis company Therapixel, creator of MammoScreen breast cancer screening and diagnosis tool. Prior to co-founding Therapixel, Clatz worked for six years as a research scientist at INRIA (National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology) based at the Sophia Antipolis technology park near Antibes, in the south of France. His later work with INRIA focused on exploiting machine learning algorithms for medical imaging processing. Prior to this, he was a research associate at Harvard Medical School, in the US. In 2006, he completed his PhD at INRIA on the concept of personalized medicine. Clatz also holds a PhD in philosophy from the Ecole des Mines de Paris, and a master's degree in applied mathematics from the Ecole Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay. Currently, he works at the French Government’s Commissariat Générale pour l’Investissement managing the national program AI For Diagnostics. He left Therapixel in 2019.

Shannon Falconer graduated with a master’s in botany at the University of Vancouver in 2006. She also completed a PhD in biochemistry at The McMaster University in 2014. She went on to work as a postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University until 2016 when she decided to become the CEO and co-founder of biotech startup Because Animals. She also led the biotech’s R&D team to develop plant-based nutritional cookies and treats for dog and cats. Because Animals now aims to produce the world’s first cell-based cultured meat products for pets.

He left the startup to join New Brunswick Telegraph Journal as a reporter for one year before becoming digital managing editor for NOW magazine. In 2013, he went on to work for three years as a senior producer at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC).He met Shannon Falconer at a cat rescue project in Toronto. The two pet owners co-founded the biotech Because Animals in 2016 to create more sustainable food for dogs and cats. Errett worked as a marketing manager at Equitable (EQ) Bank before working full-time as COO at Because Animals.

After graduating from Institut Teknologi Bandung with a degree in business, Andi Taufan started work on palm oil projects for IBM, traveling around Indonesia and meeting local farmers who were struggling to get small loans for their businesses.He left IBM and started Lembaga Keuangan Mikro (Micro-Finance Institution) to help rural business owners in 2010. Armed with a master’s in Public Administration from Harvard University in 2016, Andi managed to secure VC funds and transformed the original microloans co-operative into PT Amartha Micro Fintek, a P2P micro-lending platform.

In 2015, Bao Chunjian recruited a few former Tencent employees and founded a startup to help blue-collar workers find jobs but that business failed in 2016. He then started Xiaoe Tech.
