CTO and Co-founder of Modoo
Zhou Ying graduated in 1993 with a BSc Thermal Engineering and Computer Applications from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology.He has over 20 years of experience in hardware development and has been working as a senior product manager at Haier since October 2014. Based in Beijing, he also co-founded medtech Modoo in 2015 as CTO. Zhou has worked for over three years at Nokia as senior engineeering manager, system design manager and system architect. He also worked for the Microsoft Device Group as a senior engineering manager for six months, leading a team for innovation project development until September 2014.

Ramkumar Nair graduated in biotechnology at the Cochin University of Science and Technology in Kerala before going to Sweden for postgrad studies in 2013.During his PhD in industrial biotechnology at the University of Borås, he embarked on a research project to create fungi-based proteins from discarded sidestreams generated by food producers. After extensive research in 2017, he founded Mycorena in Gothenburg to produce mycoproteins using fermentation technology.The startup’s first commercial product, Promyc, is now being sold to global food companies as a more sustainable and nutritional alt-protein compared to traditional plant-based proteins.

A graduate with a master’s in Management and Business Strategy from the ESSEC Business School Paris, Nathanael Faibis had worked for two years as a project manager in France, Kenya and Morocco for a pharmaceutical market research company Sanisphere. In 2012, he worked for Lazada in Vietnam and Indonesia before becoming the head of production and user experience of Lazada Southeast Asia. However, he left Lazada in March 2013 to rejoin Sanisphere in Jakarta as the country head and global head of data management. Finally in April 2014, he decided to set up an Indonesian health portal Alodokter.

Formerly from Google Singapore, Winston Utomo earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2012 and a Master of Science degree from Columbia University in 2014. Hailing from Surabaya, he was the president of USC Association of Indonesian Students during his studies at USC. Before co-founding the media company PT IDN Media in June 2014, Winston was a Senior Account Strategist at Google Singapore until October 2015. He was also a project manager at St. John Capital Management in 2012.Besides being the co-founder and CEO of IDN Media, he is also the Editor-in-Chief of IDN Media that owns IDNtimes.

She also completed a master’s in political economy of development at the School for Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London in 2005.In 2006, she worked as an economist at the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources in Rwanda where she realized there was an urgent need for small-scale farming insurance to protect the local farmers’ livelihoods against natural hazards.In 2008, she joined Syngenta Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture (SFSA) in Kenya, where she initiated a pilot Kilimo Salama in Nairobi as program director. The program was a success, starting with 185 farmers taking up index insurance and growing to be the largest in Africa with over 185,000 participants. Goslinga also met and started working with Thomas Njeru, the lead actuary for UAP Insurance for the Kilimo project.In 2013, with investors backing her project, she developed and patented a system and method for providing a site-related weather insurance contract. She left SFSA in 2014 and went on to set up Kenya’s pioneering insurtech Pula with Njeru as co-founder in 2015.Both are now co-CEOs of the Nairobi-based startup, education and helping over 4m small-scale farmers to protect their livelihoods from environmental hazards with tailor-made micro-finance and insurance products.

Earlier, he spent two years at the local government business promotion organization Barcelona Activa's Entrepreneur's With Ideas training program, where Food for Tomorrow’s business and Heura foods product ideas were conceived. Coloma's background includes stints at a Catalonian animal charity and Doctors Without Borders (MSF) in project work and fundraising respectively, and as COO of a catering company. A committed vegan and environmentalist, Coloma was named on Forbes list of 100 Most Creative People in Business in July 2019.
