VNV Global was originally founded as Vostok Nafta in 1996, with its first investment in Russia. The investment vehicle initially focused on investments in agriculture and natural resources, but began to diversify into early consumer internet companies like Avito and Tinkoff Bank. Shares were listed on NASDAQ OMX and the VC pivoted to high-growth tech investments in 2007. In 2015, the name was changed to Vostok New Ventures and shortened to VNV Global in 2020 to reflect its international strategy to expand outside Europe.The mid-cap NASDAQ Stockholm exchange-listed VNV mainly invests in mobility, medtech and marketplaces. Lugard Road Capital is a New York-based hedge fund under the Luxor Capital Group. The fund invests across market segments and geographies, with several late-stage investments included in its current portfolio of 11 startups.In 2021, Lugard and Luxor led the €450m Series F round for Spanish on-demand delivery app Glovo and also joined the $146m Series J round of Indian foodtech Zomato in 2020. Recent investments include participation in the $43m Series B round of food-sharing app OLIO in September 2021 and the June 2021 $28.5m Series C round of Norwegian ocean and air freight benchmarking and market analytics platform Xeneta.

Armed with a decade of experience in journalism and media before founding Mobike, the 34-year-old Hu Weiwei also founded GeekCar, a new media automobile and technology company, in 2010. She used to write for the National Business Daily, The Beijing News, Business Value and Geek Park. She is a graduate of Zhejiang University.

Born in a farming family, Yu Yang graduated from the National University of Defense Technology with a master's in computer science. He was the co-founder and CTO of drone startup Linker Networks Inc, before co-founding Farm Friend in 2016 to build a platform connecting farmers and drone operators. He is currently the CEO of Farm Friend.

Carlos Montesinos, 25, is Co-founder, CEO, and CPO of Airhopping, a digital platform that enables multiple-destination travel planning at the lowest possible price. Montesinos launched the company upon graduating from Valencia's EDEM Business School with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He also studied Business Administration at the Development University in Chile. 

Rizki Akmanda is a web developer and digital marketing consultant who founded SIMAK, an online school information and communication platform. It can be used by all players in the education sector, including students, teachers, principals and parents. Akmanda is now the CEO of SIMAK. He also founded the (now defunct) web development companies Zloob and Themes Awesome.

Santoso is the CEO and co-founder of the Indonesian crowdfunding-for-musicians website Kolase. Santoso began working in the music industry in 2014, and, along with Kolase co-founder Raden Maulana, began a music distribution (compact disc) channel that partnered with Indonesian express logistics courier services company PT Jalur Nugraha Ekakurir (JNE ). 

Founded in 2009, Guangdong China Science & Merchants Capital Management is a subsidiary of China Science & Merchants Investment (Fund) Management, with the support of the Guangdong government. It invests in pre-IPO companies, regional leading enterprises and fast-growing innovative startups.

Based in Berlin, Point Nine Capital is a seed/early-stage VC that has invested in companies across Europe, the US, New Zealand and Asia. The firm typically invests between a few hundred thousand and US$1m in startups from many different sectors.

Horus Capital is a private equity firm founded at the end of 2012. It currently manages over RMB 10bn in assets and is focused on healthcare, AI, media, consumer goods, new materials and energy. The company has invested in about 100 companies.
