Jorba previously worked in mental health research for more than two years in Spain and in France. He met Zhang Haoqian at the iGEM giant jamboree in 2010 and they have remained friends ever since.Li and Zhang co-founded Bluepha in 2016, a spin-off from Tsinghua University’s SynBio research project.
