Francesc Riverola is a business angel and the chairman of FXStreet. He launched FXStreet in 2000 while working as an e-Research Manager at PwC and at the IESE e-Business Center. He was CEO of the worldwide forex reference portal until 2012.He is also an investor at Lanta Digital Ventures, a Barcelona-based VC for early-stage startups in Spain and Europe. Born in Palo Alto in California USA, he moved to Barcelona as a child. He has an Economics degree from the University of Barcelona and a PDD in management development for company directors run by IESE Business School.

Pedro Luis Uriarte Santamarina was the CEO of Spanish multinational bank BBVA from 1994 to 2001. He was also the Regional Minister-Economy & Finance of the first autonomous government of the Basque Country region in Spain. After being one of the creators of the Basque Agency for Innovation, Uriarte became an early investor of Indexa Capital and Bewa7er, both of which are co-founded by Unai Asenjo Barra.

Founded in 1940 by Juan Soler Güell, Quadis is one of the biggest car wholesalers in Spain. Quadis is managed by grandsons Pol and Lluís Soler who have been reinventing and diversifying the family business through investments in emerging automotive technology for electric and hybrid vehicles. The privately owned company has recently backed Wallbox Chargers which designs and manufactures EV chargers that can be remotely managed through mobile apps.

In October 2014, Ismael Labrador became the CMO and co-founder of Tuvalum, a web marketplace for second-hand bikes and accessories. Over the years, he has gained a wide range of work experience in e-commerce, inbound marketing, product management, data-driven and customer-centered analytics. The journalism graduate has also specialized in social media and community management in collaboration with renowned digital agencies in Spain. Currently based in Valencia, Ismael is also a mentor and advisor at various business schools and incubators like Demium Startups that is also an investor in Tuvalum.

Carlos Callejero is co-founder and CEO at Spanish IoT and data startup SensoWave, as well as its brand Digitanimal, aimed at remote farming, where he has worked full-time since 2014. Prior to this, Callejero established one of Spain's first sensor tech companies, co-founding Alfa Imaging in 2006 and working there as Technical Manager until its closure in 2014. The company produced body scanners updated periscopes for Spanish submarines and autonomous sensors to protect borders and infrastructure, leading to Callejero becoming one of Spain's IoT pioneers. Callejero holds a first degree in physics from the University of Zaragoza, an MSc in Applied Modern Optics from Reading University (UK) and a PhD in Millimeter Waves from the same institution. These latter studies led to his work with sensors with Spain's  Army Research Laboratory upon his return to Spain. He also briefly worked at telecom company Telefonica as an optical engineer.  

UK-born serial entrepreneur Edward Hamilton founded his first tech startup, Lavalocker, in Barcelona in 2013 to provide on-demand laundry and dry-cleaning services. He later built on the smart-locker technology to establish Mayordomo that launched Smart Point in 2016, a digital vending system with smart lockers to offer personal shopping, delivery and pickups for over 200 categories of goods and services. Hamilton graduated in Business Administration from Berkeley, University of California in 2000. He worked for almost four years at WP Carey & Co in New York specializing in investments and acquisitions. In March 2006, he moved to London to work as a real estate equity investment manager at Barclay’s Capital. In 2010, he went to Spain to work as a Green Bean business coach for SMEs based in Barcelona. His latest venture is Droppo, which he co-founded in 2019. Based in Barcelona, Droppo is a zero-emission electric last-mile logistics transport network.

All Iron Ventures, inspired by the “alliron” cry of the Biscay province in Spain, is a venture capital firm based in Bilbao. The VC was established by Ander Michelena and Jon Uriarte, the co-founders of Ticketbis who sold the business to eBay in 2016 for €165 million. The VC invests in capital-efficient and fast-growing e-commerce and marketplaces in Europe and the US.

Banco Sabadell is one of the biggest and oldest banking groups in Spain. Based in Barcelona, it was established in 1881 and has an annual revenue exceeding US$9.8 billion. The bank caters to small and medium enterprises and serves 12 million customers. Banco Sabadell's subsidiary, BStartup, was founded in 2014 to support entrepreneurs through two investment vehicles: BSartup10, which targets startups during their set-up phase and offers highly customized services and Sabadell Venture Capital, which invests in startups seeking Series A or B funding. The bank currently has 50 offices focused on catering to the needs of startups.

Civeta is a Madrid-based VC fund founded in 2013 by a small group of Spanish angel investors. It has backed 39 startups in blockchain, education, marketplace and platform.In 2014, the company experienced intense investment activity and was ranked among the most active VC firms in Spain. Since 2016, it has hosted the Civeta Fintech Meetings in Madrid, to which key industry players are invited to discuss and analyze fintech trends and business opportunities. Civeta also offers consultancy services on business model development, branding, UX, social media, data analysis, and legal support. 

Hugo Monteiro is a Portuguese IT Engineer from Universidade de Lisboa. The co-founder and VP Engineering of Spotahome was previously employed at Portugal Telecom and BNP Paribas. He has also worked for startups like UniPlaces in the real estate sector in Lisbon, Portugal.He connected with co-founder Bryan McEire when the latter moved from Spain to work in Lisbon. He was invited to join the Spotahome co-founding team when the proptech was revived by CEO Artacho on his return from London.

Kike Sarasola is a successful entrepreneur in the hotel industry.  He launched an international boutique hotel chain Room Mate Hotels Group in 2001.Sarasola is also an Olympic sportsman for equestrian sports, four-time horse riding champion in Spain and the first Spaniard to win a bronze medal at a European Championship. He is also a volunteer at the ECOALF sustainable clothing brand and the Minicol Foundation that helps Colombian kids affected by violence.

Software engineer-turned-banker Dipo Satria worked at the Jakarta offices of international banks ABN AMRO and Macquarie for almost eight years, before taking a break in 2009 to pursue an MBA at Instituto de Empresa, Spain.He left Macquarie in December 2013, joining forest conservation company Jaga Rimba as a director of Finance and Business Development. The following year, he established DanaDidik, a crowdfunding platform that disburses student loans.

Alessandro De Sario is CEO and founder of mental health startup TherapyChat, Spain’s number one online psychotherapy platform founded in 2016. He also works for TherapyChat’s investor, the Spanish VC and startup developer Next Chance Group, on other startups in their portfolio, such as the discount aggregator app Billionhands.Prior to starting TherapyChat, De Sario spent just over three years working in different food delivery entities associated with German VC and startup incubator Rocket Internet. He oversaw the development and launch of Rocket Internet’s food delivery operations in Latin America before these entities were sold to JustEat and Delivery Hero. He was also Head of Logistics at La Nevera Roja in Spain, which was later acquired by Delivery Hero. Before these roles, De Sario spent two years in investment banking and mergers and acquisitions at HSBC in London.De Sario holds three master’s degrees: one in management from ESCP Business School; one in science from City University, London; and one in business administration from the University of Turin, Italy. He lectures part-time on International Food and Beverage Management at ESCP Business School in Turin, Italy.
