Founder and CEO of The Shonet
Elisabeth Kurniawan has had an established international career in media and fashion, having worked at Saint Laurent and Cartier in both the USA and Indonesia. Elisabeth holds associate degrees in Fashion and Apparel Design from École Supérieure des Arts et techniques de la Mode (ESMOD), France and the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, USA, from which she also earned a bachelor's in Business Management. Tomy Yunus is co-founder and CEO of Cakap (formerly known as Squline). He graduated from Universitas Bina Nusantara with a bachelor's in Computer Engineering in 2009, after which he pursued further education in China, graduating with a master's in Chinese Economy from Renmin University. While attending Chinese lessons at the Beijing Language and Culture Center, Tomy met future Squline co-founder Yohan Limerta. After working for two years in China, including a short stint as project lead at Pactera, Tomy returned to Indonesia in 2013 to establish Squline, an online language learning platform.

In 2009 Boris Sanjaya graduated in Industrial and System Engineering at the University of Washington, USA. He worked for one year as an intern at Boeing Commercial Airplanes in Seattle. He worked as a business analyst at Amazon for four months before joining a Distribution Management Program at General Electric in 2010. He left GE and returned to Indonesia to work as a consultant for BCG in 2012. Together with Hendi Chandi, Boris co-founded telecoms startup Kokatto in 2014. He later left BCG in 2016 to join Hendi to establish PT Advotics Teknologi Global as CEO.

Software engineer Ronaldi Kurniawan was the only Android developer at YesBoss, an Indonesian virtual assistant startup. The Computer Science graduate from Universitas Bina Nusantara went on to work at financial product comparison website Cermati after YesBoss became inactive in 2016. YesBoss was later transformed into Kata.ai.Ronaldi had also worked at Thailand-based IT consultancy firm TN Corporation before returning to Indonesia to join Go-Jek. In May 2019, he left Go-Jek to team up again with Kata.ai co-founder Ahmad Rizqi Meydiarso to establish brand campaign builder startup Feedloop.

Edwin Widjonarko spent almost 6 years working as a research assistant at the USA’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory and at University of Colorado Boulder. In some of the projects he worked on, Widjonarko contributed to the development of new generation solar panels. In 2015, he left the research sphere to join Intel Corporation as a technology development process engineer. He stayed on until 2018, when he left Intel and returned to Indonesia to establish Xurya, a solar power company. Working with longtime friend Gusmantara Himawan and former East Ventures associate Philip Effendy, Widjonarko now works as Xurya’s director of technology.
