After graduating in 1997 from the University of Indonesia, Bagus Utama became a long-time player in the events industry. Bagus co-founded RajaKarcis, an online ticketing company in 2003. After nine years as CEO, Bagus left the company in 2012 to set up Concertholic, a website promoting music concerts and events. In January 2016, he became the COO of PT Global Loket Sejahtera. He is also responsible for the business development of Loket, an event management and Big Data solutions company.

Before co-founding Ximalaya with Yu Jianjun, Chen Xiaoyu worked as an investment director at one of Thailand's largest conglomerates, Charoen Pokphand Group, in its China office. There, she supervised the Group’s investments in internet startups. With seed funding from the Group in 2009, Chen and Yu Jianjun founded their first startup, Na Li Shi Jie, building online virtual city maps. Though the business failed after two years, they utilised the rich experience they gained and founded the much more successful Ximalaya in 2012.

The Computer Science graduate from Universitas Bina Nusantara went on to work at financial product comparison website Cermati after YesBoss became inactive in 2016. YesBoss was later transformed into Kata.ai.Ronaldi had also worked at Thailand-based IT consultancy firm TN Corporation before returning to Indonesia to join Go-Jek. In 2015, the serial entrepreneur co-founded a virtual concierge service YesBoss in Indonesia, now rebranded as Kata.ai.After graduating in Computer Science from Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft (HTW) Berlin in Germany, he co-founded various startups such as Amplitweet, Styyli and superhero-themed clothing line Cape & Fly. He was also the head of mobile products at the food delivery service Lieferando.de and its parent company Takeaway.com. Between 2009 and 2013, Irzan was a bassist and also the international marketing manager for the German band “Not Called Jinx”.
