CTO and co-founder of X1 Wind / PivotBuoy
Carlos Casanova is the CTO and co-founder of X1 Wind, a company developing a downwind turbine technology to reduce the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) in offshore wind plants, named the PivotBuoy system. He conceived the concept that paved the way for PivotBuoy in 2012 during his MSc studies in Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Prior to X1 Wind, Casanova worked as an engineer in companies developing similar solutions in the field of wind turbines and floating offshore systems, including Bluewater and Adwen Offshore.From 2012 to 2014, Casanova also was Research Assistant at MIT, investigating floating wind turbine advanced controls.

Mathieu Carlier is CEO and co-founder of Everimpact, a GHG monitoring company that uses satellites, ground sensors, AI and machine learning to deliver more accurate and immediate carbon emissions data to public bodies, municipalities, and businesses. He has over 20 years of experience as an advisor to governments, public institutions at the likes of the UN, the European Commission and EU Agencies, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and large corporations in international development. Prior to Everimpact, much of Carlier’s career was spent in complex data systems projects for government elections or for health ministries in war-torn or post-conflict developing countries. This included delivering multimillion-dollar biometric and big data projects in the run-up to 50 presidential elections in countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Libya, the Congo and Benin. Carlier is based in Copenhagen, Denmark and holds an MSc in Business Administration from the Burgundy School of Business.

At the age of 21, she started her first business Style in a Box with co-founder and college friend Filipa Neto when they struggled to find dresses for a gala. In 2014, she pivoted her business model into a designer clothing rental platform Chic by Choice. She was named as one of Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe 2018: Retail and E-commerce. He left Medsys in January 2020 to return to Indonesia and run Nusantics full-time as CTO to lead the company's research into genomics-based services.

In 2018, together with ID Photobook founder Afrig Wasiso and entrepreneur Mardigu Wowiek Prasetyo, Avesena established a new business: equity crowdfunding platform Santara and is now its CEO.

Antonio Lin was admitted as a freshman of College of Mathematics and Informatics in South China Agricultural University in 2015. He also founded a 3D printing company in 2015. The business encountered financial problems and was later shut down.But in March 2016, the global entrepreneur incubator Blackbox picked Lin’s company as one of the ten teams with potential to be trained in Silicon Valley for a week. It was during this training program that Lin met Qiu Chen from Tsinghua University and Zhou Zhiheng, the general manager of Michael Antonio Footwear Group’s business in China.Lin quickly pivoted the focus of his company to 3D printing of footwear and became the CEO of 4D ShoeTech.
