Kingfisher is a privately owned, and independently managed financial services firm active for nearly three decades. The firm was established in Charlotte in the US in 1989 and acquired by WealthTrust, LLC in 2004. In 2009, it returned to operate as an independent investment adviser under the name of Kingfisher Capital, LLC and purchased all outstanding ownership interest from WealthTrust LLC. Dimosthenis Karatzas is Senior Research Fellow and Associate Director at the Computer Vision Centre (CVC) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). He specializes in computer vision, document image analysis and color science. In 2007, he co-founded TruColour in the UK, where he currently is a member of the board of directors. In 2013, he was awarded the IAPR/ICDAR Young Investigator Award “for outstanding service and innovative research in human perception-based document analysis.” Karatzas also worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Liverpool and University of Southampton in the UK. Since 2019, he has been part of the co-founding team of Allread MLT, a deep-tech startup that converts text, symbols and codes to Big Data using computer vision technology, character recognition and machine learning.

With assets valued at €35 million, MDV supports startups through powerful marketing campaigns in return for equity. Romy is experienced in venture capital and crowdfunding, having worked as COO for three years at The Crowd Angel, a leading equity crowdfunding platform. He is also a member of the investment committee of Inveready First II SCR that manages assets worth €20 million.

Founded in 2004, Polaris Capital Group is a Japanese private equity fund management firm. Since its inception, Polaris has invested in about 30 Japanese companies. It completed the fourth round of fundraising for its Polaris Private Equity Fund IV in April 2017, during which it raised JPY 75 billion. The new fund will invest in Japanese companies in the manufacturing sector with globally competitive technologies/patents as well as companies with strong brands or unique business models in the consumer goods, retail and logistics sectors.

Qingdao Haier Venture Capital is the investment arm of China-based electronics manufacturer Haier Group. The Haier SAIF fund was established in September 2014, in partnership with private equity firm SAIF Partners and other investors. The RMB 320m investment fund is managed by SAIF Partners. The fund mainly invests smart home product developers and related sectors like AI, IoT and big data. As of December 2017, it has invested in 16 startups.

Junrun Capital was founded in 2009 in Ningbo, Zhejiang province. It's the largest private equity fund in Ningbo and specializes in M&A, equity and venture capital investments. So far, it has successfully exited seven deals out of a total of 21. Junrun has investment managers and researchers with backgrounds in science and technology. It has offices in Hangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen and the US. The company mainly seeks investment opportunities in sustainable materials, cleantech, agriculture, manufacture, biotechnology and the dotcom economy.

CAS Star was established in September 2013 in Xi’an by several VC firms and the Xi’an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics of Chinese Academy of Sciences. The high-tech startup incubator has also set up a RMB 5.2bn Xike Angel fund to specialize in the commercialization of the high-tech research projects. To date, Xike Angel has a portfolio of more than 230 startups with a total value of RMB 20bn. 

Big Sur Ventures is a Spanish VC based in Madrid. It was co-founded by Jose Miguel Herrero and Manuel Matés both with extensive international experience in leading technology products and services companies and M&A. The fund invests in companies focused on SaaS, online marketplace and platforms, IT and digital media. Investments range from seed to later growth stage. The VC usually represents the first institutional capital in a company, leading or co-leading the round with capital injection of between €100,000 and €400.000 per round. 

Ibersol is a Portuguese restaurant sector investor established in 1994. It holds the franchises of several of Spain and Portugal's top-selling fast-food chains including Burger King in both nations, Pans & Company in Spain and KFC in Portugal and Angola.To date, it has invested in one startup, the Portuguese healthy food service EatTasty, with undisclosed investment in the company's seed stage, phase one, that raised €1.1m. It also acquired one food sector entity, the Spanish restaurant group, Eat Out Group, for an undisclosed sum in 2016.

Carlos Gallardo is an industrial engineer with an MBA from Stanford University. He spent most of his career at the pharmaceutical company Almirall and was promoted through the ranks rapidly holding multiple C-level roles. He became the MD for UK and Ireland for over five years and joined Almirall’s board of directors in 2014.In 2015, he founded CG Health Ventures, a VC firm investing in early-stage digital health companies worldwide. He’s also an active angel investor and advisor for startups developing frontier technologies in the healthcare sector. 

Founded in 2010, Fidelity China Special Situations PLC (FCSS) is managed by Dale Nicholls who has worked at Fidelity International since 1996. Listed on the FTSE 250 Index, FCSS is said to be the UK’s largest China-focused investment trust with access to Fidelity's investment research resources and investment licenses in China.Focusing on companies that are most likely to benefit from China’s growth and changing economy, FCSS has invested in over 100 businesses in the country. Besides technology, it is also seeking opportunities in the consumer space and healthcare.

Nigerian investment bank and investor CardinalStone Partners was founded in 2008. It invests in enterprises with the potential to transform diverse sectors deemed to be strategic to the development of the economies in Nigeria, Ghana and other West African countries.The VC also reviews potential investments in relation to their ESG impact. CardinalStone currently has six companies in its portfolio including Nigerian gym chain i-Fitness and Nigerian fintech Appzone. In 2020, it raised $50m for a new private equity fund, CardinalStone Capital Advisers Growth Fund.
