Co-founder and CTO of Delman
Theodorus Budiyanto graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. After graduating in 2016, he joined data analytics company Splunk as a software engineer. In 2018, he returned to Indonesia to join university classmate Surya Halim and former teaching assistant Raymond Christopher to establish Delman, their own data wrangling and analytics company.

Led by billionaire investors includings Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Jack Ma, Michael Bloomberg and Richard Branson, US-based Breakthrough Energy Ventures (BEV) is an energy tech innovation fund for highly-scalable tech with the potential to help cut net greenhouse gas emissions to zero. Since its founding in 2016, it has launched several funds, including the $1bn Breakthrough Energy Ventures initial fund and a $100m European fund. The entity employs scientists and has a model available to startups to identify sustainability opportunities in the US grid. It currently has 30 startups in its portfolio across technologies and geographies. Among its most recent investments in early 2021 are the $11.5m Series A round of US low-emission hydrogen producer C-Zero and in the $50m Series B round of US sustainable metal producer Boston Metals. In January 2021, BEV also closed a new round of another $1 billion to invest in up to 50 startups. The round saw the addition participation of several new investors including Abigail Johnson, CEO of Fidelity Investments, Shopify founder Tobias Lütke, property developer John Sobrato, of CEO of hedge fund Baupost Group Seth Klarman, founder of Tableau Software Chris Stolte and Walmart heir Sam Walton.

Prior to this, Callejero established one of Spain's first sensor tech companies, co-founding Alfa Imaging in 2006 and working there as Technical Manager until its closure in 2014. The company produced body scanners updated periscopes for Spanish submarines and autonomous sensors to protect borders and infrastructure, leading to Callejero becoming one of Spain's IoT pioneers. Callejero holds a first degree in physics from the University of Zaragoza, an MSc in Applied Modern Optics from Reading University (UK) and a PhD in Millimeter Waves from the same institution. These latter studies led to his work with sensors with Spain's Army Research Laboratory upon his return to Spain. He also briefly worked at telecom company Telefonica as an optical engineer.

He also lectures part-time in Leadership and Management in Healthcare at his former university, where UpHill was established.Sequiera has been President of ANEM, the Portuguese Medical Students’ International Committee and for two years helped develop the medical curriculum at the University of Luxembourg. He also holds a postgraduate qualification in Information Management and Business Intelligence in Healthcare from NOVA Information Management School in Lisbon.

Cooper holds a PhD in neuroscience from Northwestern University, a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Indiana University Bloomington and a Certificate in Management for Scientists and Engineers from the Kellogg School of Management. Cooper also continues to be an adjunct assistant professor at Northwestern University and a member of several local business associations, including the Economic Club of Chicago, Forbes Chicago Business Council and 1871.
