CTO of Atomian
Miquel Montero, founder and former CEO of Atomian and its current CTO, is an industrial engineering graduate from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. He also holds a degree in Software Engineering from the Open University of Catalonia. He began developing the Atomian product while he was still a 24-year old student and worked on it for 18 years. He is a pioneer in cognitive computing and used an original system to reproduce human cognitive processes based on symbols, data structures and algorithms. In 1998, he founded Step2U, a mobile interactivity services and software development company, where he worked until he formed Atomian in 2014.

García Ruiz, co-founder and CFO of Atomian until 2015, is an industrial engineering graduate from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, where he is now an associate professor. García Ruiz also works as a business professor in the Chemical Institute of Sarria. He has a background in finance (Account Manager at WorkMeter, Tempos 21 and AIS Aplicaciones de Inteligencia Artificial) and sales (Commercial Manager at proceedit "the BPM process' factory" and Office Manager at Lleidanetworks Serveis Telemàtics, S.L., Hyperion Solutions, and Saari) and is an experienced executive in the IT and Telco industries with international exposure.

Julio Pernía Aznar is a Spanish telecommunication engineer. He started his career as a programmer in CERN and later consulted for big companies like Altran, Telefonica and AENA in a European Commission project. By the time he reached high school, he was earning money writing software for local businesses in Balikpapan in the East Kalimantan province. He decided to read Law at Universitas Gadjah Mada, but during his time in university he also ran a software development house. After graduating with a bachelor's degree, he returned to East Kalimantan and worked for a local newspaper before starting his own in 2006. Between 2006 and 2017, Hilman also founded a digital marketing company catering to local businesses and briefly worked as a big data consultant for PLN, Indonesia's state-owned power company. He exited all his roles in late 2017 to begin work on Arkademi, a new Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) platform.

Currently he is Commercial Director and co-founder of IoT startup SensoWave, as well as its brand Digitanimal, aimed at remote farming. The business idea of Digitanimal partly came about because of Blanco’s personal experience with his own livestock. Using IoT remote tracking, detecting heat and parturition through the use of sensors , which are analyzed to reflect the behavior of the cattle and notify alert ranchers to the anomalies detected, he was able to save a mother and calf from a difficult delivery. In another incident, the technology helped alert him to the attack of wolves. Blanco holds both a first degree and a master's degree from Madrid's Alfonso X El Sabio University, the former in Technical Engineering in Industrial and Product Design and the latter in Industrial Engineering and Industrial Electronics. He then worked as an industrial engineer at both private company Retailgas and at Alfa Imaging, the startup co-founded by Carlos Callejero, with whom Blanco later co-founded SensoWave.
