An ex-Rocket Internet’s Lazada Indonesia manager, Riky Tenggara is pursuing his lifelong dream to be his own boss. The graduate in Information Technology at Edith Cowan University in Western Australia is no stranger to the startup industry.Riky was previously a business development manager and the head of sourcing at Lazada before joining aCommerce as a senior product manager. Co-founder of Conclave
Serial entrepreneur Akbar Brojosaputro graduated from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) in 2011. Akbar is involved in two other enterprises besides co-founding Conclave in September 2014 with three fellow ITB alumni. He had worked as a director at a financial services company Utoyo & Partners until October 2013. ITB graduates Marshall Utoyo and Aditya Hadiputra were the managing partner and CFO of Utoyo & Partners respectively. Akbar’s latest baby startup is Kappa Fantasy, a fantasy e-sports league that he co-founded in December 2015. Akbar has also been the chairman of Takeri Asia Manufacturing in Bandung since September 2012.

Gusmantara Ekamukti Himawan, known as Eka, holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, USA. However, he chose a career in finance instead, beginning as a research associate at Independence Capital Asset Partners. After becoming an analyst there, he moved on to become an investment banker at Barclays for two years. He left Barclays in 2012 to co-found Bilna with fellow Purdue alumni Ferry Tenka and Jason Lamuda. He was the CFO of Bilna that merged with Moxy to become Orami. Eka is now the CFO and executive vice chairman of Orami.

Mohammad Ridwan Agustiawan is an experienced software developer and self-professed gamer. He graduated from RWTH Aachen University in Germany, with a master’s in Informatics. He worked there as a research assistant between 2007 and 2009 before returning to Indonesia. He worked as a programmer and product manager in various companies such as Indonesian adtech startup SITTI, before joining digital marketing agency Kana Cipta Media where he still works as acting manager of its technical department. He is also a co-founder and CTO of Sonar, a digital media analytics platform.

After his first startup (selling high-end organic food) failed after six months, Liu founded group-buying site Wowo (aka 55tuan), now Nasdaq-listed, which he sold it in 2011, to refocus on farm products. Liu majored in astronomy and holds a master’s from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, where his research areas included spaceflights of Chinese space program Shenzhou 6 and 7. He was born in 1982 in Shandong and goes home every year to help work the land.

With just IDR 40 million in 1998, Budiono built Detikcom with the help of senior journalists, Yayan Sopyan, Abdul Rahman, Didi Nugrahadi and Calvin Lukmantara. PT Trans Corporation paid US$60 million to acquire Detikcom in 2011. Budiono had also previously worked as a journalist for various newspapers including Surabaya, Majalah Tempo, Biro Tempo and Berita Buana since 1984.

Launched in June 2015 with seed funding of US$500,000, the e-commerce furniture company has also secured US$2 million in Series A funds in 2016.

After graduating with a bachelor’s in Computer Science in 2001 from Cornell University, USA, Furia worked as a programmer for Oracle for three years.In 2004, he returned home to work at Indonesian bank BCA and AIA Financial. In 2013, he joined PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk and was part of the co-founding team that built the company’s new tech subsidiary that was later branded as Travelio. He left Travelio in 2016.

He later worked as an area sales manager at PT Indo Pangan Nusantara for another four years until May 2015 when he left to join Wedlite as a co-founder. Liris managed the marketing and financial affairs of Atnic that created Jala for shrimp farmers, and was promoted to CEO of Jala in 2018.
