Boyu Capital is a China-focused investment firm with offices in Beijing and Hong Kong. It manages tens of billions of US dollars and is one of the largest private equity investment firm in China, and mainly invests in sectors of consumer and retail, financial services, healthcare, media and technology.Boyu Capital was founded in 2011 by the late Ma Xuezheng (died in September 2019), former senior vice-president and financial director of Lenovo Group and managing director and partner of TPG, and Zhang Zixin (Louis Cheung), former general manager of Ping An Insurance. Boyu Capital's first chairman of the board was Jiang Zhicheng (Alvin Jiang), the grandson of former Chinese president Jiang Zemin.

Xu Hanhan graduated from the Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, in 2008. She then worked at the VC, China Renaissance Capital Investment, and later became personal assistant to ByteDance CEO and founder Zhang Yiming during the startup's early years. She co-founded Waterdrop in 2016 and is now in charge of Waterdrop Crowdfunding. She also started another of Waterdrop's platforms, Waterdrop Public Wellness, which helps charitable organizations fundraise as well as report on the usage of the funds received.

Wang joined Blackfish as co-founder and COO in 2017. Prior to joining Blackfish, he was president and co-founder of Quark Finance, a company focused on consumer lending and wealth management. Wang has also worked at CreditEase, a Chinese wealth management firm, as well as BNP Paribas and BBVA. He has more than a decade of experience in credit strategy, risk modeling, anti-fraud operations and post-loan management.

Chen Haokai has a bachelor’s degree and a PhD in integrated circuit design from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Before co-founding SmartAHC in 2014, he worked as an executive at Marvell Asia, a global supplier of semiconductor solutions.

Born in 1977, Li Haoyang completed senior high school-level classes while he was of junior high school age, and was admitted into the program for gifted children at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Li is a serial entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in K12 education. He co-founded Dashan Foreign Language School, a regional, K12 educational institution chain that operated from 1999–2003, and was also the school’s CEO and principal. He then co-founded after-school tutoring center Only Education International in 2004 and was CEO and Vice-Chairman of the school board. In 2015, Only Education went public, issuing A-stocks. Li then co-founded the social app Friends Impression (a literal translation of the app’s original Mandarin name) in 2014. Li founded Squirrel AI in 2015 and currently serves as Chairman of the board.

Shanghai Zhangjiang Haocheng Venture Capital Co., Ltd. (Zhangjiang Haocheng) was founded in 2007 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of listed real estate developer Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park Development Co., Ltd. It has invested RMB 2.5 billion in high-tech startups.

Backed by Russian tech investor Yuri Milner, Haoqipei builds a B2B auto parts trading platform so buyers and sellers can find each other efficiently. 

This startup sidesteps the e-commerce counterfeit problem by enabling consumers to buy genuine products online for less.

Co-founder and CTO of ParkBox. Wei received his master’s in Business Informatics from Université d'Aix-Marseille. In 2015, he joined Haomaiche, an O2O platform for improving vehicle sales transactions, as technical director and chief architect. From 2016–2017, Wei worked as technical director for Mobike.

Haoqipei Founder and CEO Chen Xi graduated from Tianjin University's Special Class for the Gifted Young. He is a serial entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in the gaming and social networking sectors. Before founding Haoqipei in 2016, Chen co-founded corporate management  solutions provider Redsoft, mobile gaming startup CMF Mobile Game, mobile marketing solution provider CMF Mobile and business social networking startup Renmaitong. 

Wu worked at Alibaba from 2005 to 2014, where he served as general manager of bargain deal site Juhuasuan and founder of Taobao Open Platform. In 2015, he launched online grocery retail platform Shandiangou (also known as 52Shangou) with fellow former Alibaba employee Wang Yongsen. In 2017, Wu left Shandiangou to found Haoyiku.

Chen received a bachelor’s degree in material formation from Xiangtan University in 2004. While in college, he co-founded 0755.org.cn, one of the earliest online classifieds providers in China. He is also a co-founder of dunsh.org, a nonprofit search engine optimization website in China. After graduation, he served as senior project manager and chief editor at Xiamen Haowei Network Technology. From June–December 2007, Chen served as head of the product department at ganji.com, an online classified site, responsible for product management and customer experience. He then joined 58.com the same year, serving as senior VP of product management and website operation from December 2007 to August 2014.In November 2014, he founded 58 Daojia and has served as CEO since then. In August 2017, 58 Daojia announced a merger with 58 Su Yun and Gogovan, a logistics platform in Southeast Asia, and he became Chairman of the new company. The merger created Asia's largest city-to-city cargo delivery platform. In 2018, 58 Daojia was rebranded as Daojia Group. The group’s 58 Su Yun received $250m funding and was relaunched as Kuaigou Express.

Chenshan Asset Management was founded in 2016 by Jiang Jian, Edward Tian (Tian Suning) and Chen Haofei. Jiang is also the partner of China Broadband Capital and has led its investments in Dianping, Tujia, Babytree, etc. Tian is the board chairman of China Broadband Capital, founder of Nasdaq-listed AsiaInfo and former CEO of China Netcom Corporation. Chen is the managing director of China International Capital Corp (CICC).
