Structure Capital is San Francisco-based VC, established in 2013, that only invests in carbon-neutral startups. It has a special interest in A.I. and Big Data-based entities and currently manages a portfolio with 76 international startups. It has managed 13 exits to date, including Jobr and Guest Driven. ts recent investments include in the US$60m Series C financing round of multilingual AI-driven translation platform Unbabel and in the US$225m Series D round of accommodation platform and unicorn, Sonder. 

The Repsol Foundation, part of the Repsol Group, is committed to improving social and environmental outcomes.Repsol has launched a €50m social investment fund to be used in developing a portfolio of social enterprises focused on energy transition and social inclusion of vulnerable groups in Spain. The firm invested €9,5m during 2018. 

Global Basket Mulia Investama (GBMI) was established in 2015 in Indonesia with a focus on young entrepreneurs. In 2018, they invested IDR10bn in crowdfunding website Kolase.

The VC arm of Kalonia, a Barcelona-based management consultancy focused on corporate digital transformation, Kalonia Venture Partners invests in B2B software, AI and fintech startups in the Spanish-speaking world. The VC is currently investing via its KVP III fund of €4.3m, with a target of 10 investments of about €5m on average each, taking equity stakes of 10% onward in co-investment; plus two follow-ons. Founded by Josep Arroyo, Alejandro Olabarría y Enrique Marugán, Kalonia began helping Spanish investors diversify into Silicon Valley and other US startups as early as 2001. Currently its funds come mainly from Barcelona-based family offices. Co-founder Alejandro Olabarría is son of Pedro Olabarría Delclaux, the powerful patriarch heading one of Spain's richest industrialist families today, with interests across industrial farming, banking, real estate, automotive and paper.

Mubadala was founded in 2017 and was directly listed as a Public Joint Stock Company, merging the Mubadala Development Company and the International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC).Mubadala is owned by the government of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with approximately $299bn assets under management and operations across 50 countries. Mubadala owns the Advanced Technology Investment Company (ATIC), a firm acting as an investment vehicle in high technology sectors.

Lighthouse Capital is a boutique investment bank established in 2014. The firm has helped to raise finance for over 75 companies, completing more than 120 private funding deals worth over $11bn in total. Its portfolio of companies is valued at over $100bn, including 19 with unicorn status.Lighthouse Capital also manages four PE funds, worth $250bn, targeted at companies in the growth and later stages in emerging sectors.

Evonik Venture Capital is the investment arm of Evonik Industries AG, a chemicals specialty provider in Germany. The firm also has offices in the US and China.With a fund size of €250m, Evonik has made more than 30 investments since 2012. The VC mainly invests in sectors such as nutrition & care, specialty additives and smart materials. Its portfolio includes early to growth stage startups, with investments of €15m per portfolio company.

Founded in 2010, Shenzhen-based Sinoagri E-Commerce is China’s biggest B2B trading platform for agricultural products. It also provides a wide range of services including intelligence, third-party storage & logistics, financing and technical support to producers, manufacturers, suppliers and retailers along the whole supply chain. 

Huihe Capital was initiated by JD Logistics, the logistics arm of China’s e-retailer JD.com in 2019. The VC limited partners include JD Logistics, JD.com, listed companies and government-led funds. JD Logistics has already raised RMB 1.5bn for the VC fund to invest in logistics-related startups and technologies.

Investing in hi-tech IT, advanced manufacturing and biotechnology sectors – key pillars of China’s innovation-focused economy since 2017 – the Beijing government-backed Beijing Zhongguancun Longmen Investment manages about RMB 10bn via its first fund of the same name. The firm is founded and led by Xu Jinghong, former Chairman of Tsinghua Holdings, the investment and tech/R&D transfer arm of China’s most prestigious science and research university, whose R&D capacity was ranked in the third place of China’s top 500 enterprises in 2018. The LPs of the fund include social security funds, Beijing’s municipal government and the Haidian District government. Its portfolio enterprises are generally ranked in the top three of their respective industries. Among them, Qi An Xin Technology, which is listed in Shanghai and one of China’s biggest cybersecurity companies; Joy Wing Mao, one of China’s major fruits supply chain companies. In October of 2020, it invested RMB 100m into Beijing Immunochina Pharmaceutical, which develops innovative gene and cell therapies for curing malignant tumors. Longmen also provides mentoring and other expertise and support to its investee startups, especially those that plan to seek public listing.

Founded in 2013, Sino-Ocean Capital is the investment arm of the Chinese real estate developer Sino-Ocean Group. It mainly invests in the sectors of big data, healthcare, logistics, environmental protection, real estate and finance. It currently manages RMB 50bn worth assets and $700m US dollar funds. The limited partners include insurance companies, large-sized enterprises and sovereign wealth funds.In 2019, Sino-Ocean Capital launched a RMB 3-5bn fund to acquire logistics properties and planned to invest RMB 48bn in logistics over the next five years. It also on the track to raise $1.5bn for its latest real estate fund to invest in offices in Beijing. 

With currently over $21bn of AUM, Baring Private Equity Asia (BPEA) was started in Hong Kong in 1997 by Jean Eric Salata, as the regional Asian PE investment arm of UK-based Baring Private Equity Partners. With $300m in its first fund, it focused on riding China’s economic rise spurred by the country’s market liberalization. In 2000, Salata led a management buyout of BPEA and continues to head the firm today as CEO and Founding Partner. BPEA has invested in more than 100 companies, across healthcare, logistics, IT services, media, education, financial services and retail. It is one of the largest independent PE firms in Asia and has eight offices across the continent.

Founded in 2015, M25 is an early-stage VC based in Chicago, investing solely in companies headquartered in the US Midwest across tech sectors, almost exclusively at seed stage. It currently has 77 companies in its portfolio and has managed eight exits to date. Its most recent investments include in gaming monetization app Metafy’s $3m seed round in December 2020 and in the $2.7m seed round of mobile online store creation app CASHDROP in August 2020. It invests from $100,000 at the idea stage through to $25m per startup.Im sorry but I dont see that investing in 15 different sectors is actually a focus that is why I put General. it´s mosre like what sectors do they not invest in?
