Giovanni Umboh has been a software engineer since 2014, specializing in Java, working first at software development company Indocyber Global Technology and then at Emerio, a subsidiary of Japanese telecommunications giant NTT. Giovanni left Emerio in 2017 to join equity crowdfunding startup Bizhare, where he is CTO. He is also concurrently a software engineer at Blanja.com. Giovanni holds a diploma in Informatics Management from Bina Sarana Informatika, Indonesia.

Sofia Lu graduated in Information Technology in 2012 at Bina Nusantara University. She has also worked as a teaching assistant and researcher at the university during her degree course. In July 2013, she joined online travel agency Tiket.com as a lead developer. In 2015, her passion for books eventually led her to become the CTO and co-founder of Storial, a digital storytelling portal for writers.

After graduating from Wuhan University with a bachelor’s degree in Remote Sensing in 2005, Gong Huaze moved on to postgraduate study at the Institute of Remote Sensing Applications (IRSA), Chinese Academy of Sciences. He earned a doctoral degree in Remote Sensing Application Technology in 2010 and worked as a research fellow at IRSA. He co-founded McFly as CEO in December 2016. 

After graduating from Universitas Dian Nuswantoro with a degree in Computer Science, Maulana Bayu Samudra worked as a web designer for Seven Media Technology from 2015 to 2018. Together with former colleague Fadhil Nur Mahardi and food entrepreneur Kaesang Pangarep, he established Indonesian home chef meal service Madhang in late 2017, serving as its first CEO. Maulana later took on the COO role in January 2019.

Ex-United Nations employee Muhamad Fajrin Rasyid holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Informatics Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology. As a student, he and BukaLapak co-founder Achmad Zaky opened a noodle shop near their dorm. Previous to BukaLapak, he had worked at Indosat, the United Nations and The Boston Consulting Group. He also co-founded Suitmedia, a digital agency that develops websites for companies such as HijUp.com and MasukNegeri.com.

Born in 1987 in Liaoning Province, Bi Yu worked as a senior security engineer at Tencent for four years. In March 2015, he left Tencent and joined Cheetah Mobile as a senior security technology manager in Taipei and the US.In January 2017, he founded cybersecurity firm Threat Hunter as CEO. The company was rebranded as EverSafe Online with a new logo in 2019. 

A 15-year veteran of the gaming industry, Dong Yupeng served as VP of product development at the online game developer, Locojoy, where he was in charge of operations for many mobile gaming products including I’m MT, Genghis Khan and I’m MT 3. In 2018, he founded Beijing Code View Technology, which launched Reworld in 2019. He is now responsible for operations and marketing at Reworld.

Gianpaolo Rando is CTO and co-founder at Swiss biotech SwissDeCode, which applies DNA testing to food traceability. He has worked there full-time since April 2016. Prior to this, Rando gained significant experience working in the field of genomics. He spent three years prior to SwissDeCode’s foundation trialing his DNA food testing technology in his startup BeerDeCoded and assisted in the launch of a compact DNA laboratory at Bento Bio in London. He previously spent almost three years at the University of Geneva in research, co-inventing a technology for ink to change color in response to a specific DNA sequence. His earlier position at the University of Lausanne as a post-doctoral fellow in genomics saw him lead a nine-man team for three and a half years, discovering the hormone that prepares newborns to lactate. Rando’s first post was at Trangenic Operative Products, leading animal research there. Italian-born Rando holds a PhD in biotechnology and pharmacology from the University of Milan as well as a qualification in data science. 

Jeremy Scholz is CTO and co-founder at US-based unicorn Diamond Foundry, the first certified carbon-neutral lab-produced diamond manufacturer. He has worked there since 2012, leading up to the company’s official establishment. Prior to this, Scholz co-founded startup consultancy Alicanto in 2011 and briefly worked at startup YottaQ as director of engineering. From 2006–2011, Scholz worked as an engineer and manager at the $640m solar power startup Nanosolar. Silicon Valley's first solar power technology startup financed by American venture capital, the firm was the highest-valued firm in the industry at the time. When Nanosolar closed due to cheaper competition from China, much of its technical expertise and experience were diverted to set up Diamond Foundry. Scholz graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in mechanical engineering and started his career working at Boeing as a mechanical engineer from 2005–2006. 

Indogen Capital is Indonesia’s latest VC founded in early 2017. The private fund looks for founder “athletes and shapes them into champions”, with capital injections of US$100,000 to US$500,000.VC advisor and Tokopedia co-founder, Leonitus Alpha Edison is passionate about mentoring startups on how to negotiate founder-friendly deals.The other VC partners are: Hendry Willy (Leon’s friend and founder of TokoUSB.com), private equity veteran Teezar Firmansyah, Nararya Ciputra Sastrawinata of business tycoon family in real estate and Ciputra University. Indogen’s CEO Chandra Firmanto is Leon’s childhood friend whose family business had joint ventures with Ciputra. 

Francesc Riverola is a business angel and the chairman of FXStreet. He launched FXStreet in 2000 while working as an e-Research Manager at PwC and at the IESE e-Business Center. He was CEO of the worldwide forex reference portal until 2012.He is also an investor at Lanta Digital Ventures, a Barcelona-based VC for early-stage startups in Spain and Europe. Born in Palo Alto in California USA, he moved to Barcelona as a child. He has an Economics degree from the University of Barcelona and a PDD in management development for company directors run by IESE Business School.

Well-known for co-founding JobsCentral in Singapore, Lim Der Shing has been an angel investor since 2009. JobsCentral was acquired by CareerBuilder USA in 2011 and Der Shing became its Asia-Pacific MD. He left the new role after six months in 2014 to become a full-time investor and partner at Singapore-based VC Jungle Ventures. The electrical and electronic engineer graduated in 1999 with a Summa cum Laude from the University of Michigan, USA. As a scholar, he returned to work at Sembcorp before co-founding JobsCentral’s predecessor JobsFactory in 2000 with co-founder and wife Huang Shao-Ning.

M12 is the venture capital arm of Microsoft, formerly known as Microsoft Ventures, founded in 2016 to invest in Series A rounds and beyond. M12 has invested in more than 70 startups to date and has managed four exits, all of them acquisitions: Comfy, Figure Eight, Bonsai and Frame.  M12 is especially interested in enterprise software and its biggest investment to date was US$114 in Outreach's Series D round. It has also invested recently in Nautilus Labs' Series A and Onfido's Series C.The VC also awards a US$4 million Female Founders prize to boost the participation of women in tech. 

Alfonso Villanueva is a well known angel investor based in San Jose, California. He is currently also the Global Head of Strategy of Corporate Ventures and the CEO Office at Paypal, where he has worked since 2015. He has been an angel investor in various European, US, Asian and Latin American startups since 2008, investing in 13 companies to date.  His last investment was in Spanish real estate developer Peranakan, where he invested €650,000 in debt financing. He has also invested in the Series A round of Spanish space transportation services company Zero 2 Infinity.

LEVO Capital is a US venture capital firm that focuses on seed investment for utility-based tech companies. Founded by real estate entrepreneur Weston Marcum, the VC has exited digital wallet fintech Evenly that was sold to Square.Based in his birthplace Louisville in Kentucky, Marcum built a successful real estate investment and management company Atlas Properties that later became the Atlas group of companies. The Furman University business graduate began investing in SMEs and tech startups through Levo Capital in 2011. Many of Levo's ventures, including downtown cafes, are also tenants in buildings owned by Marcum's Atlas group.
