Jaume Puig Adamuz is co-founder and CEO of Biel Glasses, a medtech developing smart glasses for people with low vision. Prior to founding the startup in 2017, he was a pre-sales and product manager at cloud services company MediaCloud, and was the Workplace Transformation Governance Manager in the Government of Catalonia's education department, where he was in charge of its digital transformation.In total, he has over 25 years' experience as a manager in various technology companies, including British Telecom, Deustche Bank, Telefónica and Tiscali. Puig also previously founded two companies, Mobbiz Communication, a mobile marketing services company, where he worked from 2003 to 2013, and Fleet Control Systems, one of the first commercial radio and GPS fleet location and management systems, where he worked from 1995 to 1998.Puig holds a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Ramon Llull in Barcelona.

Antonio Tripiana Caballero worked for almost two years as project engineer at the Signal Processing for Communications and Navigation (SPCOMNAV) research group at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB).The Department of Telecommunications and Systems Engineering project was part of Tripiana’s master’s degree in Telecoms Systems Engineering during his university days from 2011 to 2016. He also completed a one-year exchange program at Finland’s Tampere University of Technology.Tripiana worked as a freelance full-stack developer in Barcelona during his studies. He worked for four months as a scientist at Barcelona’s Mobile World Capital to develop a cloud-based GNSS receiver for IoT devices with ultra-low battery consumption. He also spent five months testing receivers at the European Space Agency (ESA) in the Netherlands.In 2018, he co-founded Plant on Demand (POD) as the startup’s Solutions Architect. He took on the full-time role of CTO during 1Q2020.

Her parents, both medical doctors, could not get an accurate diagnosis for their son. In her search to understand the molecular mechanisms behind diseases, she applied to study at the University of Oxford. In 2008, she was granted the Reach Oxford Scholarship and graduated with a master’s in biochemistry in 2012. In 2015, the St Hilda’s alumna worked as an undergraduate tutor at Oxford while completing a PhD in pathology, specializing in oncology and cancer biology.In 2018, she worked on a rare cancer project as EIT Health Business Innovation fellow for a year. She left academia and joined a three-month bioentrepreneur bootcamp in Munich and a one-month Lev8 Woman Program at her alma mater’s Oxford Foundry.
