Co-founder and Editor in Chief of Kumparan
Arifin Asydhad, a graduate from the University of Padjajaran, is a self-professed workaholic. Hailing from Bogor, Arifin is known to often work until 9 pm as a journalist. As the former director and editor in chief of Detikcom for almost 17 years, he has accompanied Indonesian government officials on visits to China and Brazil. However, Arifin left Detikcom in September 2016 to help ex-Detikcom seniors and colleagues to establish Kumparan in November.

Diana Almeida is an alumnus of the University of Porto in Networks and Information Systems and holds a postgraduate degree from the Porto Business School in Business Intelligence and Analytics. Her education culminated in her co-founding the company Movvo, for an analytical software used in the retail industry. Almeida also holds the position of university professor at the Instituto Universitário da Maia ISMAI in the fields of Software Engineering and Data Mining.

Welly Huang is a web developer with a degree in Information Technology from STMIK Mikroskil, Indonesia. He started working as a web developer at Mikroskil while at university. After graduating in 2014, he established a web development agency CelsiusTech that was closed down a year later. Welly joined Kalvin Yap to develop rewards app Paprika and also worked for seven months as a development team lead at Medan’s e-tailer Otten Coffee in 2015.

Danny Purnomo is a veteran in content production and digital media. He worked at KapanLagi Network (KLN) for one year, before leaving to become the operational general manager of mobile content firm Monstermob Indonesia. After four years at Monstermob and various director roles at other mobile content firms, he rejoined KLN as VP of Sales in 2013. Two years later, he co-founded PT Brilio Ventura Indonesia as an offshoot of KLN.

Fransiskus Xaverius is an experienced software engineer. He worked as an intern at RIM and Google during his Computer Science degree course at the University of Washington, USA. After graduating in 2011, he worked as a software engineer at various American tech companies, including the online game firm Zynga, Castlight Health and Homejoy. He returned to Indonesia after leaving Homejoy in 2015 to co-found Qlapa, an online marketplace for handmade products.

Syauqy Nurul Aziz graduated in Electrical Engineering from Universitas Gadjah Mada in Indonesia in 2014. Prior to graduating, he had joined UGM’s aerospace competition team and co-founded a game development studio. After graduation, he worked as a programmer at mobile app developer Amagine Interactive for a year. Syauqy also joined fellow UGM graduates to establish Atnic. He left Amagine in 2015 to focus on Atnic projects, including their leading product Jala.

Zhou tried building websites for tourism, private detectives, etc. His real success was a company that helped computer game users buy virtual game tokens. Zhou used the same team and the money he made from his computer game company to found Nongfenqi.

After his master’s in 2003, he worked at a strategic brand consultancy company DM Brands for five years. He developed a new brand agency DM ID with Daniel Surya. Jeffrey joined Daniel’s WIR Group as CTO and also became a director of WIR’s brand technology unit Spacesym, now known as Redspace.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, William worked for Accenture and Sinar Mas Land between 2012 and 2016, while also spending time at CT Corp, the holding company of a major Indonesian conglomerate. William graduated with a bachelor's in accounting from the University of Indonesia.

Hao graduated from Peking University with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science in 2013 and received his master’s degree in the same subject from Waseda University in 2015. He worked as an intern and software engineer at Microsoft Research Asia from February 2015 to December 2017. Hao co-founded aiXcoder in March 2017 and has been working full time for the startup since January 2018. He currently serves as CTO.

Marshall Pribadi is the founder and CEO of digital signature startup PrivyID, the first of its kind in Indonesia. In 2014, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Law from Universitas Indonesia. Between 2012 and 2015, he worked at PT Buana Media Teknologi, the digital payments and voucher company that operates GudangVoucher.com. Marshall had been developing the business idea for PrivyID and pitching to investors since 2014, eventually establishing the company in 2016.
