Co-founder, CTO and Head of Product of James
A computer scientist with nearly a decade of experience, Sam Hopkins received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of New Mexico. He started his career in the United States, as a software engineer for Flashgroup in Greater Pittsburgh Area. Hopkins moved to Portugal in 2014 to work at GetSocial.io, and then Unbabel. In 2015, he became the third co-founder of CrowdProcess, the producers of James credit risk assessment platform, where he worked as CTO until September 2017. Since then, he co-founded DareData Engineering and Lisbon Data Science Academy.

Liu Long graduated from Northwestern Polytechnic University based in Xi'an in 2010. The Information and Computing Science graduate went on to the Institute of Remote Sensing Applications (IRSA) at the Chinese Academy of Sciences to pursue a PhD in Microwave Remote Sensing in 2015. He stayed on at the IRSA as a research fellow with funding support from the Youth Science Fund program under the National Natural Science Foundation of China. In 2016, he co-founded agtech startup McFly with two Wuhan University alumni who are also experts in remote sensing technology.

With a doctorate in mechanical engineering from the University of Maryland, Frank Lin has over 25 years of technical and managerial experience in medtech and aerospace. Before founding CH Biomedical in 2008, he was the principal staff engineer at Kriton Medical, the predecessor of HeartWare International (now Medtronic), leading the computational fluid dynamic design of its Heartware Ventricular Assist Device (HVAD) system. Lin holds 15 US and international patents in left ventricular assist device and turbomachinery. He is also an adjunct professor at the Academy of Engineering and Technology, Fudan University.

It has a particular focus on promoting a planet-positive fashion industry and on building inclusive societies.Tackling mostly challenges associated with the fast fashion industry and its supply chain, H&M Foundation advocates for more sustainable practices across the fashion value chain and more inclusive business practices. The foundation is also actively involved in providing emergency relief for natural disasters or pandemics. It also aims to encourage innovation that promotes social change and sustainability. To this end, it provides startups support in accelerating and scale new technologies. It also runs the Global Change Award. In 2007, he left PT Ainet Indonesia and worked for various companies, including news portal Okezone. From 2013 to 2015, he worked as a developer at edtech platform HarukaEDU and, from 2015 to 2016, he was CTO of Citizen Lab, a Belgian SaaS platform for smart cities to get feedback from the public. He returned to Indonesia in 2016 and co-founded Hacktiv8 with Ronald Ishak. He also has a master's in Information Technology from Universitas Indonesia.

Hannah Michaud first started exploring ways to develop sustainable textiles in 2016 while completing her studies in sustainable fashion at Copenhagen’s KEA School of Design & Technology. She also studied fashion technology and design at the KEA academy from 2012 to 2015.Michaud worked as a fashion design intern at Danish company Barbara I Gongini in 2016 and also at Weekend CPH in 2014.
