Co-founder of Warung Pintar
Sofian Hadiwijaya is a co-founder of smart retail kiosk startup Warung Pintar. Despite not having completed his undergraduate industrial engineering degree due to financial difficulties, Sofian was already a programming instructor during his early college days at Bina Nusantara university and later became an market analyst for international cement company Holcim. Sofian was a co-founder of both IT consultancy firm Crazy Hackerz and online lending and pawnshop Pinjam and has worked for startups KUDO and Nodeflux.

Xie graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2012 with a master’s in Computer Science. Upon graduation, he was invited by famous angel investor Hadi Partovi to join startup project Fivestars, which would become the leading customer loyalty solutions provider in the United States. In 2015, Xie returned to China and adapted the Fivestars model to his own startup, Zaihui. Within just one week of his return, Zaihui raised millions of dollars from top Chinese investors.

After graduation, Nisa and a UGM friend Rushan, decided to set up IWAK; a crowdfunding platform to kickstart commercial fish farming businesses to help poor families to improve their livelihoods in Rushan’s home village of Kebon Agung in Nganjuk.
