José Enrique Díaz Buzón graduated in law at the University of Seville in 1999. He has a qualification in EU law, and a master’s in business consultancy. In 2005, he also studied labor relations at IE Business School in Madrid.In 1999, Díaz began practicing as a lawyer, specializing in commercial and corporate law and business consultancy. In 2016, he became the CFO, business development manager and co-founder of Scoobic Urban Mobility. The Spanish mobility startup and the co-founding team’s Passion Motorbike Factory aim to provide three-wheeled EVs and sustainable last-mile delivery solutions.

Central Java’s highest national exam scorer, Anggita Arum Pertiwi (known as Gita), is currently pursuing her undergraduate studies in Accounting at Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in Yogyakarta. Originally from Temanggung regency in Central Java, Gita won third place in the National Accounting Challenge 2015. She is IWAK’s financial controller and also works as a teaching assistant at UGM. IWAK is a crowdfunding startup for commercial fish farming.

Lisa Ayu Wulandari is an alumni of Telkom University in Bandung with an engineering degree in Electrical & Instrumentation. She later obtained a master’s in Business, Management and Marketing at Jakarta’s Prasetiya Mulya University in 2015.Lisa started as a management trainee at PT Schneider Electric in 2011. She worked in the Services Marketing division for more than five years at PT Schneider Indonesia.

Serial entrepreneur Pedro Oliveira has a master’s in Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico. Following internships at Accenture and EDP, he worked at EDP as an IT business analyst and project manager. He later joined INOV INESC Inovação as an associate researcher and worked there for more than three years. Oliveira also has a postgraduate qualification in Foresight, Strategy and Innovation from the Lisbon School of Economics and Management.Oliveira met José Paiva at the Startup Lisboa incubator. Oliveira had founded an event management startup Entrepreneurs Break and had also established the now defunct booking site Oops!Booking in 2012. In 2013, he teamed up with Paiva to co-found online tech recruitment platform JOBBOX that was later pivoted as Landing.Jobs.

Christie Amanda has Australian diplomas in hospitality and business from the Alexander Education Group and a bachelor’s in Management and Marketing from Curtin University. After graduating in 2007, she worked at Australian retailer Coles and at the Commonwealth Bank before returning to Indonesia. She worked at PT Indosurya Finance before becoming the COO of Code-O Solutions, a software development startup that she co-founded with Hendry Rusli in 2012.

Zaki Mulyawan has more than 17 years of experience in the mining and energy sector, having held senior engineer positions with Petrosea, BHP and Bhakti Energi Persada since 1999.  At the end of 2016, he left his senior project coordinator role at Contromation Energy Services to establish Manpro, a project management software startup.Zaki holds a bachelor’s in Architectural Engineering from Universitas Diponegoro, Indonesia.

Andrea Halfpap is a co-founder and design director of Gestoos, a gesture recognition startup. She had been part of the UX teams at Vodafone Global, Claro Partners and Carmeq GmbH, building her expertise around visual and interactive design for mobile and web applications.Halfpap graduated from the Cologne International School of Design and specialized in Visual Communication and Research at the University of Western Sydney. 

Anthony Kusuma is a co-founder of tech recruitment platform Ekrut, where he was Chief Product Officer until November 2017. Starting in 2012, he has worked in frontend web development and technical roles, including at Indonesian FMCG group Orang Tua and fintech lending platform Modalku, the Indonesian version of Singapore-based Funding Societies. Anthony holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from STMIK Dharma Putra, Indonesia. 

During her time as a consultant at McKinsey from 2012 to 2014, Yada Piyajomkwan worked with governments from the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) on financial inclusion. The topic became her focus of study when she enrolled at the Stanford Graduate School of Business’ MBA program as a Fulbright scholar. After earning her MBA, she and fellow Stanford alumnus Anderson Sumarli established online investment advisory startup Ajaib.

Moses Lo comes from an entrepreneurial family, his father acquired a failing business in Australia and turned it into a successful company. The family business inspired Lo to start his own fashion business in Australia after graduating in finance and commerce at the University of New South Wales in 2010.Lo initially gained work experience as an analyst in 2008 as part of his undergraduate finance and commerce programs in Australia. In 2011, he became an associate at the Boston Consulting Group in Australia. After two years, he was promoted to senior associate but left BCG in 2013 to focus on his menswear ventures until 2014.Lo decided to get first-hand tech startup experience in the Silicon Valley, working at Amazon while completing an MBA program at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2015, he decided to established a P2P payments platform Xendit in Indonesia. The platform has since pivoted into a payment gateway service and became a unicorn in 2021, with Lo as CEO based in California and Jakarta. He was also featured in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list for Asian figures in finance and venture capital in 2016.

Xavier Sans Serra is the founder and CEO of payment and interactive chat app and IoT hardware startup Orain. He is based in Barcelona, where he has worked since 2016. Prior to this, he founded two other tech startups: Knowxel, which has been in operation from 2013 to 2016, and Neqta, which operated from 2011 to 2013. Knowxel was a social network for seeking skilled people for one-off work projects while Neqta was a research project to develop hardware to power portable devices. Both companies were developed at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where the initial development of Orain also took place. Sans holds two master's degrees from Barcelona's Ramon Llull University: one in Engineering and Telecommunications Engineering and the other in Networks and Telecommunications. Between 2010 to 2012, he was a member of the Electromagnetism and Communications Research Group at Ramon Llull University's La Salle campus, where he was involved in a research project on geomagnetically-induced currents, which led to publications in scientific journals.

Currently based in London, French national Pierre Yves Paslier completed a master’s in materials science and engineering from INSA in Lyon in 2010. In 2012, he went on to complete a master’s in industrial and product design at the Royal College of Art in London. He also studied innovation design engineering at Imperial College.After graduating in 2014, Paslier and university alumnus Rodrigo García González co-founded Skipping Rocks Lab that was pivoted as Notpla in 2019. Both are co-CEOs of the UK-based startup that develops compostable and edible packaging material made of seaweed and other plants.Before becoming an entrepreneur, Paslier worked as a packaging engineer for L’Oréal from 2010 to 2012. He has been invited to speak at TEDx conferences in Athens and Warwick to share his experience and innovative projects in packaging and product design. In 2020, he became an industrial advisory board member at Imperial College London Dyson School of Design Engineering. In 2019, he also became a fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Hub.

Lara Vidreiro graduated in Business Management and Administration at the Catholic Lisbon School of Business and Economics in 2012. At the age of 21, she started her first business Style in a Box with co-founder and college friend Filipa Neto when they struggled to find dresses for a gala. In 2014, she pivoted her business model into a designer clothing rental platform Chic by Choice. She was named as one of Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe 2018: Retail and E-commerce. Vidreiro also joined A2D Consulting in Lisbon as e-commerce and digital senior consultant in November 2017.

Nayoko Wicaksono graduated at the University of British Columbia in 2007 and had worked at prestigious companies such as Morneau Shepell, Rocket Internet and Emtek. He left Emtek in 2014 and started the on-demand household services startup Seekmi a year later. However, he decided to step down as CEO in 2016 to become the chairman of Seekmi.                                   He later became a venture partner at Plug and Play Indonesia and has also invested in Turkey’s motorbike transport app Scotty in 2017. He is also a director and co-founder of data science education center Algoritma that helps students gain employable skills.

Irma Surya is a lawyer and the founder of Plato, a portal for startups and SMEs to access affordable basic corporate legal services. After earning her bachelor’s in Law from Universitas Katolik Atma Jaya, Indonesia, she worked at Ali Budiarjo, Nugroho, Reksodiputro, an Indonesian legal firm from 2011 to 2013. She has been in practice since 2007 and has also worked with international clients. Besides her duties as Plato’s CEO, she continues to work as a freelance lawyer, specializing in startup and fintech companies.
