Shieny Aprilia is one of Agate's original 18 members and has been with the company since it was established in 2009. She was originally tasked with managing the company's operations and finances while still working as a game programmer and producer. As Agate continued to grow, she took over the role of COO and eventually became Chief Marketing Officer.Like most of the other original members of Agate, Shieny graduated from the Bandung Institute of Technology with a bachelor's in Informatics Engineering.

Anirudh Sharma is one of three co-founders of Graviky Labs, which makes ink out of carbon that is captured from pollution and purified using proprietary technology. This concept was born from Sharma’s experiments making ink from candle soot while doing his master’s at MIT Materials Lab. He currently leads R&D and business at the firm. Sharma’s interests include augmented reality, wearable computing and environmental projects. Over the years, he has developed and patented various technology products with social and environmental impact. He was formerly CTO and co-founder of India’s first wearable technology company, Ducere Technologies, which was later sold. This company makes Lechal, the world’s first smart haptic device for shoes, initially designed by Sharma as a navigation aid for the visually impaired. Sharma also previously worked for Imagin Group at Hewlett Packard Labs, on a multimodal speech and touch-based computer-aided design interface for large displays.Sharma holds a master's from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and co-led the activities of MIT Media Lab India from 2013–2015. He is a TED and TEDx speaker and has been included in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 for Asia, MIT Technology Review’s 35 Innovators Under 35, and Foreign Policy magazine’s 100 Global Thinkers of 2016.

Zhou Zhiheng worked for Michael Antonio Footwear Group as general manager in China. In 2016, Zhou met fellow co-founders Antonio Lin and Qiu Chen at a training program held in Silicon Valley, organized by the global entrepreneur incubator Blackbox. He left his GM job and co-founded 4D ShoeTech in 2017.

Caris LeVert is a professional basketball player in the USA’s National Basketball Association league, playing for the Brooklyn Nets. A graduate of the University of Michigan, he joined the Nets in 2016, after the Indiana Pacers swapped him for Thaddeus Young in that year’s draft. In 2019, the Nets signed a three year-extension for LeVert’s contract, worth $52.5m.LeVert is managed by Roc Nation, the entertainment and sports management firm founded by musician Jay-Z. He took part in Roc Nation’s investment (via venture arm Arrive) in Indonesian coffee brand Kopi Kenangan. LeVert is also the founder of the 22 Initiative, a youth mentorship program in New York.

Having attained a master’s in Electronics, Digital Media & Game Technologies in 2013 from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in Indonesia, Walesa Danto continues to have a passion for creative IT products and hardware as a software engineer.Walesa’s Limakilo mobile app won a hackathon Code4Nation award in August 2015, as one of three Best App winners to solve Indonesia’s commodities issues.The former lecturer at Telkom Institute of Technology, now known as Telkom University, always feels challenged to deliver new products with a focus on user experience using the User Centered Design approach.

Computer Data Communications graduate from Malaysia Zac Cheah is an Erasmus Mundus scholar with a master’s in Computing from Sweden’s KTH Royal Institute of Technology and a master’s in Security and Mobile Computing from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.After his master’s graduation in 2008, Zac joined Opera Software AS in Norway and Opera Oupeng in China. He left Opera in 2013 to co-found Cross platform HTML5 games developer Wozlla in China. In 2016, Zac moved to Indonesia and co-founded payments app Pundi-Pundi. He became the CEO of Pundi X in September 2017.

Serial entrepreneur Eloi Gómez Cal (Santiago de Compostela, 1992) holds a double Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Food Science and Technology. He worked as President and Advisor in ACyTALE, The Food Science and Technology Association – part of the University of León in Spain. He later coordinated projects for Aqgri, developing a SaaS to improve quality processes in the agri-food sector. During this period, he also collaborated with Ceteris Paribus as a consultant on different European projects such as Horizon2020, Erasmus Plus and Fiware.

Wang Anquan joined the Alibaba Group in 2006. He was the technology director at Ali Financial, director of Taobao Loan Division and assistant to the MD of Ali Financial.In 2013, Wang and a colleague at Ali jointly developed the MVP of Webull to provide market intelligence. He then joined HengFeng Bank in 2014 as the president of the Department of Online Financial Asset Transaction. Wang joined Xiaomi in 2015 as the general manager of Xiaomi Finance. In 2016, he founded Fumi Technology with Webull as its main platform. Xiaomi is one of Fumi's early investors.

Emilio Sepulveda is a Spanish engineer and MBA graduate with over 20 years of experience in the technology space at a global level. He worked as Strategy and Innovation Manager at Telefónica, leading multiple startups and projects. He was also involved in team structuring, seed funding round support, business model and strategy development.Passionate about IoT and robotics, Sepulveda co-founded Natural Machines in 2012 to develop 3D food-grade home appliances for both B2B and B2C customers. The company has just launched the world’s first 3D food printer equipped with laser-cooking technology.

After graduating from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2003, Yang Renbin worked as a software architect for nearly four years at Peking University’s Institute of Computer Science & Technology (ICST).In 2007, he joined ChinaCache as general manager of its CDN business unit. In 2009, he left Beijing for Hangzhou and joined Alibaba as product director and strategy director. He later became the chief architect of the mobile Taobao app.In 2014, he left Alibaba and launched neighborhood social app Youlin in Hangzhou. He also founded edtech platform Intelligent Learning in January 2018.

Kévin Alessandri is CEO, CTO and co-founder of TreeFrog Therapeutics, whose proprietory C-Stem technology mass-produces high-quality pluripotent stem cells in a 3D environment. Prior to founding TreeFrog in 2018, Alessandri spent two years as a post-doctoral fellow at Bordeaux’s Institut d’Optique. During 2014 and 2015, he completed a post-doctorate at the University of Geneva, focused on developing 3D printed microfluidics systems to build 3D cell culture vessels for stem cell applications. From 2008 to 2013 he completed a PhD on cellular capsules technology and applications at the Institut Curie in Paris. 

Lin Chenxi was the first director of technology at Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of the Alibaba Group. From 2008 to 2012, he led a team of more than 100 senior engineers to successfully set up Apsara, the largest, distributed cloud computing operating system with independent intellectual property rights in China. Before joining the Alibaba Group, Lin worked for Microsoft Research Asia in the fields of machine learning, computer vision, information retrieval and distributed systems. In 2012, he joined Leo Zhu as cofounder and chief technology officer of YITU Healthcare.

Founded in 1985, Draper Associates is primarily a seed-stage venture capital firm with an international portfolio focusing on fintech, healthcare, education, government tech, manufacturing and consumer technology. It has made successful exits from major tech players like Baidu, Skype, Twitch (the video game streaming website) and Tesla. Draper Associates invests and supports startups for the long haul to create innovative solutions and new technologies in diverse industries.
