Chen received a bachelor’s degree in material formation from Xiangtan University in 2004. While in college, he co-founded 0755.org.cn, one of the earliest online classifieds providers in China. He is also a co-founder of dunsh.org, a nonprofit search engine optimization website in China. After graduation, he served as senior project manager and chief editor at Xiamen Haowei Network Technology. From June–December 2007, Chen served as head of the product department at ganji.com, an online classified site, responsible for product management and customer experience. He then joined 58.com the same year, serving as senior VP of product management and website operation from December 2007 to August 2014.In November 2014, he founded 58 Daojia and has served as CEO since then. In August 2017, 58 Daojia announced a merger with 58 Su Yun and Gogovan, a logistics platform in Southeast Asia, and he became Chairman of the new company. The merger created Asia's largest city-to-city cargo delivery platform. In 2018, 58 Daojia was rebranded as Daojia Group. The group’s 58 Su Yun received $250m funding and was relaunched as Kuaigou Express.

Ryan Mario Yasin is an engineer, designer and sustainable fashion entrepreneur based in London. Originally from Reykjavik, Iceland, Yasin graduated in aeronautical engineering at Imperial College London and has a master’s in global innovation design from the Royal College of Art.  As a 23-year-old design student, Yasin founded materials technology startup Petit Pli, and developed the design for the company’s first product, a pleated garment that could expand up to seven sizes to last children through their first few years of life. Petit Pli now makes expandable pleated clothes for children and adults, using a fabric derived from recycled plastic and a structure inspired by origami, architecture and space satellites. Petit Pli products have won a number of prestigious awards, such as the UK James Dyson Award, Time Magazine’s best invention of 2020 and the Red Dot Product Design Award.Yasin has a strong interest in photography and in the interplay between art and engineering. In 2020, Yasin was included by Forbes in its 30 Under 30 list for Europe.

Jose María Gómez Marquez started his business career as CEO at Roder Spain from 1986–1994, manufacturing materials used in Expo 1992 in Seville. From 1998–2005, Gómez worked in business development for Climocubierta indoor swimming pool materials company in Seville. Since 1998, Gómez has also been running F1/MotoGP equipment supply company AMG Services as CEO and founder.He completed a master’s in business management in 2006 at San Telmo International Institute in Seville and became the managing partner of Seville-based engineering design company Arquingenia.In 2015, he co-founded Spanish mobility startup Scoobic Urban Mobility and became the CEO of the country’s first three-wheeled EV last-mile delivery logistics provider. He is also CEO of Passion Motorbike Factory.Between 2011 and 2015, Gómez was a director at Morocco-based EURoma Network, a transnational EU organization contributing to the promotion of social inclusion, equal opportunities and the fight against discrimination of the Roma community.

Lei Ming graduated from Peking University (PKU) with a master's degree in Computer Science. While at university, he was a member of the PKU Sky Network search engine program. In 2000, Lei became one of the seven founding members of Baidu, where he led the search engine design and development team. Lei received his MBA from Stanford Business School in 2003. In 2005, he returned to China and started Kuwo Music, now one of the largest music platforms in China. As an angel investor, Lei focuses on the sectors of AI, consumption, education, medical services and entertainment.

Based in San Francisco, the Mulago Foundation is a philanthropic foundation designed to carry on the life work of pediatrician Rainer Arnhold who died in 1993 while working in the mountains of Bolivia. He originally set up the Mulago Foundation in 1968, naming it after a hospital in Uganda. His Jewish family, bankers for generations, continued to support the foundation for impact investing across diverse sectors and geographies, with scalable solutions to alleviate poverty.It has invested in 61 companies to date. Founded by pioneering tech investor Ozi Amanat in 2015, K2 Global is a venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley and Singapore. Amanat, who moved to Singapore in 2012, is one of Twitter’s early backers, raising $25m to invest in the social media startup that later went public in 2013. The Harvard graduate in psychology and economics also invested in Uber, Spotify and Alibaba during his career as a venture capitalist. Amanat is the chief investment officer of K2 VC, K2 Global and Singapore-based Spice Global controlled by Indian billionaire B K Modi.In 2017, K2 also announced a $183m VC fund focusing on early-stage startups that aim to address global challenges. The majority of K2 limited partners are based outside the US in countries like Australia, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Indonesia.

Former co-founder of Nasdaq-listed eFuture Zou Hongjun helped built the supply chain IT systems of over 50% of China’s top 100 chain-store enterprises. The Chongqing University graduate also has years of experience in fresh food e-commerce.

Co-founder and CTO of QingCloud, who previously worked at Huawei, IBM and Baidu. With his mastery of Linux OS, Internet, storage and distributed systems and architecture, Gan is in charge of the IaaS backend, the backbone of Qingcloud’s entire technology framework.

Lippo Digital Ventures was the corporate venture arm of Indonesian conglomerate Lippo Group, founded by Indonesian billionaire and banker Mochtar Riady. In 2015, the company reincarnated as Venturra Capital, a US$150 million fund focusing on technology firms in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

Bo Shao graduated with a Harvard degree in Physics and Electrical Engineering in 1995 and worked at the Boston Consulting Group for almost two years until 1997. Speedinvest is a pan-European, early-stage venture capital firm with offices in Vienna, Munich, San Francisco, Berlin, London and Paris. The firm helps startups grow internationally. Its raised its third and latest fund of €190m in Feburary 2020, bringing total AUM to over €400m. Each investment ticket size starts from €50,000 and goes up to €1.5m. Founded by Austrian Oliver Holle, a former entrepreneur who founded his business in the 2000s and went on to work another tech startup in Silicon Valley. With conviction that "European founders can win big in the Valley and beyond,” Rolle started Speedinvest with a €10m fund in 2011.The firm mainly invests in pan-European fintech startups, digital health, consumer tech, B2B SaaS and deep tech startups.   

Crevisse Partners is a South Korean investor and venture builder with an impact focus. Its name stands for “Creative, Visionary and Social Entrepreneurs”. Originally incorporated in 2004, Crevisse claims to be the first impact investor in Korea, even before such terms became commonplace. The company strives to develop businesses in sectors “where the market principle wasn’t working”.Crevisse has internally incubated a number of companies in South Korea, such as reusable drinking cup company BringYourCup, sustainable forestry firm Forest Trust, and fundraising service DONUS. Crevisse Ventures is the company’s dedicated VC arm that manages a $20m fund and a number of blended finance funds through collaborations with government agencies and financial institutions. In particular, Crevisse Ventures focuses on startups that solve problems in four major areas: urban communities; climate and energy; education and welfare; as well as jobs and economic growth.
