Co-founder and CEO of FuVeX
Carlos Matilla Codesal is co-founder and CEO of Spanish drone technology company FuVeX, which has been in operation since 2015. He was founder and president of FuVe-E, a student entrepreneurial association for participating in international engineering competitions at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), where Matilla earned his degree in Aerospace Engineering in 2014. He managed two FuVe-E projects: designing one of the world's first gyrocopter UAVs and constructing an unmanned underwater vehicle. Matilla also studied Naval Architecture at UPM. Lucas Llobet Cusí is the Spanish born CTO and co-founder of Evix Safety, designers of an algorithm controlled airbag for cycling helmets, where he has worked since 2018. In 2015, Bao Chunjian recruited a few former Tencent employees and founded a startup to help blue-collar workers find jobs but that business failed in 2016. He then started Xiaoe Tech.

Edwin Widjonarko spent almost 6 years working as a research assistant at the USA’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory and at University of Colorado Boulder. In some of the projects he worked on, Widjonarko contributed to the development of new generation solar panels. In 2015, he left the research sphere to join Intel Corporation as a technology development process engineer. He stayed on until 2018, when he left Intel and returned to Indonesia to establish Xurya, a solar power company. Working with longtime friend Gusmantara Himawan and former East Ventures associate Philip Effendy, Widjonarko now works as Xurya’s director of technology.
