Advisor, board member, co-founder of NovoNutrients
Brian Sefton has been co-founder, a board member and a part-time advisor at NovoNutrients, a San Francisco-based biotech manufacturer of alt-protein produced from fermentation and CO2 since it was founded in 2017. In 2009, he co-founded research entity Oakbio, from which NovoNutrients evolved, and was its President and CTO. After graduating from Universitas Bina Nusantara's dual degree program in 2012, Stefanie Suanita went to work for GDP Venture, part of the Djarum Group in Indonesia. She specialized in product management and joined GDP Labs in 2015 as senior principal product manager for the internal research and venture building arm. In 2017, she founded Catapa and became the CEO of the HRtech startup that was internally incubated at GDP Labs. The Information Systems and Management graduate had two years' experience in HR as supervisor of internationalization and people career development at her alma mater BINUS University.

Co-founder of Veniam
Winner of the 2016 EU Prize for Women Innovators, Portuguese national Susana Sargento has been a professor at the University of Aveiro for almost 16 years. She received her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the same university. Her main research interests are self-organized networks, e.g., routing, mobility, delay-tolerant mechanisms and content distribution networks, in ad-hoc and vehicular mechanisms and protocols. In 2012, she co-founded Veniam, a tech startup for connected and autonomous vehicles, where she also worked in engineering and corporate research from 2012 until 2014. She advises the European Commission in her areas of expertise.

Łukasz Krasnopolski is the Polish CEO and co-founder of medtech diagnostic hardware and app Higo Sense, where he has worked full-time since 2017. He has also been the CEO of Polish tech incubator ToReforge since 2015 and is a co-founder at gaming developer Walkabout Games, established in 2017. Hawa Traore is CEO and co-founder at Teliman, Mali’s first on-demand mobility startup and one of francophone Africa’s first, where she has worked since its launch in 2018. He met Zhang Haoqian at the iGEM giant jamboree in 2010 and they have remained friends ever since.Li and Zhang co-founded Bluepha in 2016, a spin-off from Tsinghua University’s SynBio research project. In 2018, Li was selected for MIT Technology Review’s list of Innovators under 35. In 2019, he was named one of the 40 Chinese business elites under 40.
