Co-founder, CEO, Business Development Manager of FarmCloud
Miguel Matos is a Portuguese entrepreneur and co-founder of FarmCloud, where he has been CEO and head of business development since 2016. He had earlier been a partner and sales manager at FarmControl World and FarmControl Brasil, the forerunners of FarmCloud. Matos is also co-founder of biometrics company Sidelmat and founder of Portugal's first company developing biometric solutions, BioGlobal, where he was CEO from 2011 to 2014. Matos holds a degree majoring in Marketing from the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE).

Ex-McKinsey consultant and Amadeus engineer Jaime Laulhé lived in New York, Paris and Hong Kong before returning to his native Madrid to work at McKinsey, where he spent two years. Liu Xi holds a doctoral degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University. He participated in the development of Apache Spark, an open-source cluster-computing framework. He used to work at Conviva, an American company offering solutions for online video optimization and online video analytic. There, he developed a system for big data analytics applicable to video streams, which has been used by TV networks, such as ESPN, HBO and China Central Television. His research focuses on cloud computing and big data analytics for video streams.

He combines this role with positions as an Airport Systems Consultant at Airport Gurus, an airports consultancy firm in Barcelona, and as an IT business consultant at the trade body the International Civil Aviation Organization in Panama. Prior to these positions, Pérez worked at Spanish engineering and defense systems giant Indra System and also previously worked as a software developer at agency Datalab. He studied both Engineering and IT Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
