Co-founder and CTO of Qiscus
Yogyakarta-born Evan Purnama pursued higher education in Singapore and graduated from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in 2012 with a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In 2013, he joined a group of NTU graduates to establish Qiscus, a startup that provides internal communication solutions for businesses and apps. He is the CTO of Qiscus that has now expanded to provide messaging and customer service platforms for a diverse range of corporate clients.

Zhu received his LLB from the University of International Business and Economics in 2008 and a Master of the Science of Law from Stanford Law School in 2011. From 2011 to 2015, he worked as an associate at K&L Gates. He was among the lead lawyers on several M&A cases, including the acquisition of NuoMi by Baidu. Zhu left K&L Gates to co-found Zaihui in 2015.

After completing his PhD in Computation and Neural Systems at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in 2014, he returned to Beijing and co-founded Cogtu Technologies that specializes in image recognition for advertising. In August 2015, he co-founded TuSimple and became its president and CTO based in San Diego, USA.
