CCO and co-founder of Plant on Demand
Alejandro Wonenburger García came up with the idea for Plant on Demand (POD) during a research project for his joint master’s degree studies in Finland and the Netherlands.He specialized in International Business at SeAMK (Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences) in western Finland from 2013–17. He was based in the Netherlands during 2015–16 to read Strategic Management and International Business Management at Fontys Venlo University of Applied Sciences in Limburg. He speaks six European languages including Dutch.Since 2018, the Spanish co-founder of POD has taken on the roles of project coordinator and chief commercial officer. The POD agrifood marketplace and online management platform is specially designed for the needs of small-scale farmers.

Eric Mourin is the Barcelona-based CTO and co-founder of Aimentia, which runs the first AI-powered virtual clinic for mental health patients. He met his fellow co-founder Edgar Jorba, who is now CEO of Aimentia, at the Open University of Catalonia. The company was established while both co-founders were still students.Mourin is a computer engineer by training. Prior to setting up Aimentia, he worked as a software engineer. He also spent close to two years working on a World Heath Organization (WHO) project involving the design and implementation of an IT system for the monitoring and control of neglected tropical diseases. This IT system equipped affected countries to make data-based decisions to reduce incidence of such endemic diseases, while allowing the WHO to efficiently monitor progress.Mourin holds a master’s in computer and information systems security from the Open University of Catalonia as well as a bachelor’s in computer engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.

An Economics graduate from the University of Tokyo in Japan, Tomonori Tsuji initially worked as a digital marketing consultant at ItoKuro Inc. He later worked in Singapore as a product manager at an online media management company Leapseas Pte Ltd. In 2013, he co-founded the price comparison website Pricebook, with university alumnus Ryoji Mori. Although headquartered in Japan, they decided to launch Pricebook in Indonesia. Adrian started his banking career at Citibank in 1998. He was then based at the Standard Chartered Bank in Dubai, UAE, managing global Islamic finance product structuring for the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA), South Asia and Southeast Asia. He specialized in Islamic banking for over eight years at Permata Bank and Bank Muamalat in Indonesia until 2015, when he left to co-found Investree.

He obtained his PhD from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in Microelectronics and Electronic Systems, joining the Computer Science department in 1984 where he held an associate professor position until 2007. Between 2005 and 2016, Ferrer was the director of the Space Studies and CERES Research Center at the same university. He was also deputy director at the Catalan Space Studies Institute (IEEC) and is a researcher at the National Microelectronics Center's Barcelona Microelectronics Institute.
